Costco vs Sam’s Club - Golf Edition

(Edited)

Golf is an expensive sport.

I would probably say the most expensive. I have gone out of my way to make it cheaper for me. I love the game but cannot afford to play like the rest of them.

I have built my bag with cheap clubs and trades. I have hunted for balls and sold a bunch after finding them.

I have bought punch passes and search for every coupon I could and I have it so that I only play about $8 per round.

I have recently been on the search for the next way to save money. In Comes the golf glove.

Yes yes yes i could play without one but I really like the way I hit with one on. Especially when it’s hot and I am sweating.

So the cheap gloves on the market are the Sam’s club member mark gloves and the Costco Kirkland gloves. I went and bought a set of each. Here are the results after golf about 45 holes with each.

Before I dig in too much both gloves feels right with the first try on. Both perform great and I like how both felt during the start middle and end of the rounds.

First the Sam’s club members mark glove.
These gloves look the best. They have more white and that is a win for me.

The fit was a little tighter in the large size and this was not an issue but defiantly smaller than other brands by just a bit. I don’t think I would size up so the size still passed.

One bad thing is this is already wearing out. Thats way too fast. It is still usable and will be until it wears through but it’s not looking like it is going to last a terrible long time. Too bad.

I also wish it was a little more breathable. The Kirkland glove has double the perforation.

Next the Kirkland Gloves from Costco.

The Kirkland Logo is too big and I don’t love that.

The rest of the design is great.

this glove was a bit bigger than most other larges I have tried on from other brands. So it was the opposite of the members mark one. I think that if I buy these again I will get the size smaller.

Not a single sign of it wearing out though after the same amount of holes. It still looks brand new. Huge win for Costco especially for those of us looking to save money and not have to buy new gear.

So who was the winner?

Drum roll please? I bet you can guess.

Kirkland from Costco. The deciding factor is durability. I want to save money and I think they will be the best for that.

Keep golfing.

Paying $8 per round is a lot. I was thinking it was going to be the cheapest game ever😅😅
