Out in the garden with the macro lens

One of the joys of photography is you don’t need to go far to get some good photos and have some fun with a camera. At least with digital there is no waiting around.

So this afternoon I had a bit of spare time do went and had a look at the lavender hedge in the garden. This time of year it’s covered in bees. So plenty of opportunities for a bit of macro.

This time the Camera is my Olympus OM-D E-M5 with a Zuiko 60mm m4/3 macro. As @millycf1976 has returned it as her OM-D E-M10 has been fixed.

One of the joys with digital is you don’t need to worry about missed shots I’m sure I would have gone through a few rolls of film and most would have ended up in the bin and missing shots because you only have 2 frames left and really want them to be good ones.

If I’m going to be honest Hivers a lot of the photos were of missing bees or a bit out of focus but sometimes you get lucky.

thanks for that you haven't seen the other 40 odd that are out of focus of only a bit of a bee as it flys off
