Getting To Know Me Better

Hello, Hivers! I know this is somewhat late for the introduction as I already posted three articles in the community. Owing to my writing, and editing jobs in the magazine, as well as my function as the assistant to the CEO, things have been relatively occupied recently. Nonetheless, I want to reintroduce myself. It looked like a wonderful moment to take hold of each other even better.

For those who don't know me...

Hi, I am @diosarich a mixed-blood Greek-Italian-Spanish-Filipino from the Philippines, on the island of Mindanao where Davao City, my homeland, is located where you can find the most beautiful sunset and beaches, the delicious durian and fleshy marang, the sweet pomelo, the captivating Waling-waling(Vanda Sanderiana or Sander's Vanda, named after Henry Frederick Conrad Sander, a noted orchidologist) and the serenity of nature.

A SINGLE PARENT

I am a single mother who takes pleasure in many parts of motherhood. My eldest is married and she has a thirteen-year-old son (yes, I'm a grandma - mamita as my grandson dubs me). My youngest child has an epileptic cerebral palsy and he passed away last November 12 - I will tell you about his illness in my next blog.

A single parent's life can be a very formidable job. To be both a mother and a father, you must be an iron-willed role model. There may or may not always be financial underlying that is required, such as child care. All of the family responsibilities lie on your shoulders. While single parenting can be challenging, the blessings are far higher.

SENIOR CITIZEN

When I joined #Hive, I was in my mid-fifties. I earned the title of Certified Senior Citizen two years ago. That means more wrinkles on my brow and a platinum mane on my head. 🤩 Furthermore, I am now a PWD member (Person With Discounts). I now pluck the blessing of being a citizen of this country who has performed for several years. I have benefited from the savings that the law provides to Senior Citizens on maintenance medications, some grocery products, transportation fees, movie tickets, and other things.

SIMPLE PHYSICAL REGIMEN OF AN AGEING WOMAN

Hair of platinum, soles of the masterwork, as an aging woman, I am all that jazz. Every day I work to keep my health in tip-top shape. Stretching, brisk walking, jogging, meditation/yoga, and jazz dance are all part of my physical conditioning regimens. As I mentioned, I am responsible for two people. My mother, who is 88 years old, is partially blind and my son, who has special needs, is bedridden. I should keep myself fit to get around with illness.

Art is a piece of limitless field that brings out concepts, insights, and fascination and is based on a creative nature as it is significant in many facets of life. Putting together things with one's hands is what art is all about.

I've been interested in crocheting, embroidery, tatting, paper quilling, and other crafts like creating my bracelets out of broken pieces of jewelry and glass beads-wired bracelets since I was in primary school. I even learned to weave, but due to a lack of equipment, I was unable to put it to use. Fresh Blossoms Art, a DIY that uses the natural beauty of flowers to create spectacular artwork has recently piqued my interest.

These are among my favorite hobbies that have additionally proved to be profitable and helped me meet both ends with my son's physical and medical condition when he was still living. I continue doing it even though he's now gone. It is a must to have extra savings when the rainy days come.

FOOD FOR THE THOUGHT PASSION

My other passion encompasses writing poetry and flash fiction/non-fiction based on thoughts from my imagination, which is pressed for them to put together the right lines. Talent is the blessing you always pay for yourself and uplift others.
