巧遇美味燉飯攤位 / Stumbled upon a delicious paella stall
話說在啤酒節閒逛時,除了各式精釀啤酒之外,還有著各式美味小吃,其實這個活動主體是美酒,美食只是附加的,我本來以為賣的是到處可見的那些小吃,突然我看到一家店,有著長長的排隊人潮,讓我好奇心大起,趕緊走到前頭,看看是甚麼美食,哇!一個好大的鐵鍋喔,仔細一瞧,好像是知名的美力夯大叔西班牙燉飯。
海鮮燉飯是西班牙美食的代表菜色之一,它有配料豐富、色彩繽紛的特色,除了加入各種海鮮及煙燻紅椒、奧勒岡、香蒜、月桂葉等各式香料,也可以放入其他所喜愛的食材,做出獨一無二的海鮮燉飯,這家店聽說是台中旱溪夜市排隊美食之一,後來搬到向上市場擺攤後,也是當地的排隊美食之一,由於都是一鍋一鍋現做,而每一鍋所需燉煮時間約40分鐘,所以,等待時間會很長,有一次去向上市場閒逛時,沒看到它有營業,還以為這家店已經不做了,或結束營業。
沒想到居然會在這裡看到它,也難怪這裡會有著一條排隊人龍,話不多說,我立刻加入排隊隊伍,因為每次出鍋皆為單一口味,口味有西班牙海鮮、義大利奶油海鮮及牛肝菌雞肉燉飯,我最希望能吃到西班牙海鮮燉飯,最不希望吃到牛肝菌雞肉燉飯,最後等了快三十分鐘,我才拿到我的燉飯,燉飯食材相當豐富,色彩鮮艷的菜色,加上芳香撲鼻的香味,讓人一看就食指大動,我也顧不得形象,立刻就找了一個角落,靜靜地品嘗我等候已久的美食,吃完了才想到沒拍照留念,真是殘念啊!
While wandering around the beer festival, besides the variety of craft beers, there were also lots of delicious snacks. The main focus of the event was the drinks, with the food as a bonus. At first, I thought they were selling the usual street foods, but then I noticed a stall with a long line of people, which sparked my curiosity. I quickly walked to the front to check out what the food was, and wow! There was a huge pot, and it looked like they were serving the famous "Meili Hong Uncle" Spanish Paella.
Seafood paella is one of Spain’s iconic dishes, known for its rich ingredients and vibrant colors. It includes a variety of seafood, smoked red peppers, oregano, garlic, bay leaves, and other spices. You can also add your favorite ingredients to create a unique version of the dish. I heard this stall used to be one of the popular food vendors at Taichung’s Hanxi Night Market, and after they moved to the Xiangshang Market, it continued to be a favorite. Since they cook the paella in individual batches, each takes about 40 minutes, so the wait time can be long. I remember one time when I visited the Xiangshang Market and didn’t see their stall, I thought they had closed down.
I couldn’t believe I found it here, and no wonder there was a line. Without hesitation, I joined the queue. They offer three flavors: Spanish seafood, Italian creamy seafood, and wild mushroom chicken paella. I was hoping for the Spanish seafood and definitely didn’t want the wild mushroom chicken paella. After almost 30 minutes, I finally got my paella. The dish was packed with ingredients, colorful, and smelled amazing. I couldn’t wait any longer and immediately found a corner to quietly enjoy the food I had been waiting for. After finishing, I realized I forgot to take a photo, and I felt kind of disappointed!
