Early Christmas at Plaza Bolivar de Maracay
Maybe the title of this post seems ahead of its time, but this country has some particularities that are not worth mentioning right now. Christmas is coming early and many iconic places are already decorated with Christmas decorations. The Plaza Bolivar in the city of Maracay, which is famous for being the largest in Latin America, is already well ahead of schedule and that is precisely what I will show you below.
The spaces of the square are quite large, you have to walk a long way to walk around and in that sense it requires a lot of lights to decorate the whole place. I am particularly impressed by how such a large space can be decorated taking into account the large investment required.
The first thing you will see is the old government palace of Aragua state, it has mainly red and green lights, although at the main entrance prevails the white light which is quite intense. This palace is in perfect condition which added to the beautiful lighting generates an imposing appearance, even from a distance is quite noticeable.
The water fountains do not have lights at the moment, but being surrounded by a well-lit environment they don't seem to need them, I think they look pretty good this way. On the other hand, the other spaces in general seem not to have escaped the glowing lights.
The elements that have the most lights are the trees, definitely the greatest effort was made in our natural friends which do not seem to be affected by the small bulbs, although I suppose that there is some security element to prevent fires, it would be a shame to see one of these trees in flames.
There are at least five spaces made for attendees to take pictures, we can see reindeer, a crescent moon, a star, among other Christmas elements made of lights, I must admit that they look pretty good.
Another space that caught my attention was the tunnel of lights, it feels good to walk inside it as you feel surrounded by nice little fireflies, that makes a beautiful contrast with the darkness of the night.
So the most important square of the city is already decorated with Christmas elements, it is true that it seems to be quite early, but it is a reality that I wanted to share with you in this brand new community of travelers. I hope you liked these pictures, greetings to all of you!
