Visiting the San Telmo Fair and Plaza de Mayo.
Yesterday was my birthday and as usual I didn't want to celebrate 😆 so we decided to take a Sunday walk visiting the San Telmo fair in the neighborhood that has the same name. Every Sunday they hold this fair that is characterized by the sale of antiques, crafts and good food.
I could say that we took a mini tour in tourist class as if we were visiting the country.
Here we can find many attractions and one of them are couples dancing tango on some corners.
The architecture and old buildings also adorn the place, it is a very picturesque neighborhood that is worth walking for several hours.
At first the fair was held in only one square, Plaza Dorrego, then it spread to other streets in such a way that all the stalls selling "things" are enormous.
I think it is also a place where you can go to buy strange things, they sell absolutely everything and you will be surprised by what you can get there, from clothing to vinyl, handmade items and vintage products to decorate.
There are also many stores where they sell the famous Argentine dulce de leche and you can get it in different presentations and flavors.
We took a short tour, ate in different places and tried a little of everything, accompanied by delicious craft beer.
The cobbled streets are another characteristic of this area but also of the neighborhood itself.
This is one of the stores where, in my opinion, they sell unusual things.
I honestly don't know who would wear those clothes but surely there are people who do 😄
This is one of the iconic cathedrals in the area.
And some of the urban landscape and the fair in general where visitors pass through.
A few meters later I found another couple on another corner dancing tango.
And my nephew fell in love with that cow haha we were at the dulce de leche house and he didn't want to leave there.
The truth is I had intentions of taking my camera with me but I didn't want to spend a lot of time getting good shots or taking detailed photos of everything I saw. I wanted to enjoy the moment and occasionally take some photos with my phone.
I think that in these moments it is more important to share with the family.
Night fell and we moved away from the market, we walked towards the Plaza de Mayo and enjoyed the sunset and its colors there.
I had kinda forgotten about this setting during the sunset, I took some other photos that I will share with you in the next few days.
It will be an interesting night street photography set.
This is what my tour was yesterday and my visit again to the San Telmo fair, I hope you liked it and I wish you an excellent start to the week.
That's all folks! Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.
