Bueno, veamos. Hay muchos juegos con los que puedes aprender idiomas, sin embargo, algunos son más efectivos que otros, por lo que quise traer los que a mí personalmente me ayudaron a mejorar bastante.
- Minecraft: Minecraft es de esos juegos en los que puedes practicar tanto el habla como la lectura, es buenísimo debido a que tiene muchísimas maneras de aprender un idioma (una de esas y la más común es la de asociar palabras y bloques con cosas de la vida real), además, gracias a su gran repertorio de idiomas se puede aprender cualquier lenguaje sin ningún tipo de problema.
- Duolingo: Fue mi primer contacto con el inglés respecto al aprendizaje, a esta app le debo el 45% de lo que sé de inglés gracias a su gamificación incorporada, además de sus ejercicios simples, es excelente para principiantes.
- Among Us: Este es uno de esos juegos en el cual pude practicar mi inglés hablando por el chat, es de los mejores para poder practicar el habla, eso sí, si es un poco más avanzado.
- Undertale: Yo jugué este juego apenas salió y estaba totalmente en inglés, no había un parche en español o algo parecido, este juego me ayudó bastante gracias a sus divertidos chistes y diálogos básicos, además, como estaba popular, había muchísimos memes y animaciones de este juego en inglés, por lo cual fue un plus bastante grande.
(Mención honorífica) Novelas Visuales: las novelas visuales son excelentes para gente que ya tiene un nivel alto respecto al idioma que están aprendiendo, esto debido a que su gameplay se basa generalmente en el texto e imágenes, lo bueno de este tipo de juegos es que traen historias superinteresantes y como la mayor parte del tiempo estarás leyendo, suele ser muy útil.
Como pueden ver, en todos los juegos que acabo de mencionar tienes que aplicar el idioma con el que estás jugando, ya sea para hacer decisiones (como es en el caso de Among Us, Duolingo y Undertale) o para querer lograr tu objetivo con total seguridad (como en Minecraft) Así que, ¿qué esperas?

Los videojuegos son cada vez más usados para aprender idiomas y no es de extrañar. Ofrecen una experiencia inmersiva e interactiva que puede hacer que el aprendizaje de un nuevo idioma sea divertido y atractivo. Pero, ¿es realmente posible aprender un nuevo idioma con videojuegos?

El juego tiene que ser demasiado bueno para ti, lo suficiente para que te motive a buscar las traducciones y poder entender lo que lees, sino será un fastidio tener que traducir a cada rato. Si el juego te gusta es un excelente método para aprender un nuevo idioma.
Suele suceder al principio de aprender un idioma, el pasar por ese proceso (yo lo pasé y la verdad es que si es un poco tedioso), pero luego dejas de traducir y pasas a entender las palabras o el contexto, es increíble como se nota la evolución de tu aprendizaje, es muy satisfactorio. ¡Gracias por comentar!

En mi caso aprendí inglés principalmente por medio de series, videos y música, aunque reconozco que los videojuegos jugaron un rol crucial.
El proceso de asociación es vital, especialmente cuando estás arrancando y apenas conoces palabras o aspectos muy específicos de la gramática.
Así es, uno empieza asociando, pero ya luego se te queda en la memoria todo, en mi caso cuando estoy hablando español de repente como que quiero decir algunas palabras en inglés porque mi cerebro como que asocia las dos lenguas en una y es un enredo jaja, pero ya con eso siento que voy por buen camino, ¡gracias por comentar!
Yo he aprendido muchísimo ingles gracias a los juegos, sobre todo aprendí mucho con el Old School runesscape, me hubiera encnntado que lo mencionaras ya que es un juego completamente en ingles pero bastante básico, también debido a que mucha de la comunidad solo habla ingles así que me toco adaptarme mucho en el tiempo que estuve jugando. Por eso mismo lo puse como mención honorífica, uno podría aprender muchísimo un idioma con ese tipo de juegos, pero de verdad que ya ahí tienes que ser avanzado (por lo menos un B1) A mí no me sirve porque yo soy apenas A2 empezando jaja, pero cuando ya sea un poco más avanzado si me gustaría jugar algunos de ese género, ¡Gracias por comentar!
Yo creo que sí se puede, existe una teoría interesante sobre el ¨input comprensible¨, más que aprender, sería adquirir el idioma, tal como si lo estuvieses haciendo como un recien nacido aprendiendo sobre su entorno. Ahora, si bien estoy a favor de dicha teoría, estoy de acuerdo en el hecho de que sirven mejor como un complemento, tener unas clases o usar una app de idiomas + el videojuego en cuestión. Por darte un ejemplo, a mí se me da bastante bien el inglés y realmente nunca lo he estudiado como tal, pero, si me preguntas cosas técnicas del mismo ahí me pierdes, es más, si me pones a traducir textos que requieren un conocimiento mucho más avanzado del idioma, lo más probable es que de mí, salga algo regular, esto no pasaría si hubiese estado en algún curso o como tal, si me hubiese puesto a estudiar el idioma, no tengo esa base bien formada y estoy seguro de que es algo que le pasa a muchas personas.
El input comprensible es lo mejor, de hecho, gracias a ese método (que ni sabía que utilizaba) aprendía inglés con los videojuegos XD recién vi de su existencia hace algunos meses y es espectacular
I improved my English through video games but I think langauge is not even the thing I learnt the most from games. I learnt a lot of culture and history through a lot of games in the medieval and etc. I learnt some business concepts, management, and etc. through the more realistic and hard business simulation games. I think you can pick up a crap ton of things from playing video games.
