I Couldn't Have Had A Lovelier Evening.

It's Sunday and I had plans to go out and spend some quiet moments with a loved one somewhere in town.

The plan was to go and get food in an eatery, take the food to a playground where we could be comfortable in a field and just have fun hanging out together.

Boom came drama! First it was as if I wouldn't be able to make it, I had lots of house chores to take care of. Then I figured I had not a single penny to transport myself to the meeting venue. Rain then had to fall. I felt terrible.

Why were all odds against this one outing I just really wanted to enjoy for once?
First good sign is I honestly told my partner I was out of cash so he sent me money way too much for my transport fare. I smiled. Who doesn't love a gentle man?😁
I was finally ready and was late so I called and said I was ready. He said he was heading out too but I didn't get to find out where we'll be meeting.

I waited for a while and had no response, I had to call again. The place he suggested was a very cool place, quite big and glamourous but far from home so I declined. I wanted a place not so far from home.

THE DRAMA...
He actually was already on his way to the first location he suggested so when I said no, he had to stop his journey and move to another location that I still didn't like – Chicken Republic.😂

I have a problem with crowd, I equally hate small eateries hence my selectiveness.
When I got there, he was so moody and quiet so I started apologizing. Did I mention I went there in the rain?

Unfortunately POS wasn't working and I didn't like the place so he said we should go where I'll like. I chose Crunchies. 😋
Crunchies have the best Shawarma recipe in my hometown (Uyo, AkwaIbom state, Nigeria.)
I love the sitting arrangement of the eatery too. It's nice and it's spacious. They have sofas there and I love it.

On sofas I get to sit side by side with my partner rather than on opposite ends. It was raining so I wanted to snuggle close to somebody while talking, eating and just have a cool evening.

As we arrived at Crunchies, their POS was faulty as well so off we went. He asked me to pick another location I'll love🤦🏽‍♀️ I'm not really outgoing so I didn't have many options.

Down the street was another Chicken Republic so I said let's stroll down. He whined a bit because he hates to walk but the distance was short so we strolled in.

I was excited to finally find a place we could stay. It rained so we couldn't go to the field anymore. We went straight to get food, I was starving!

I was shy so he ordered my (sort of)favourite food for me – Fried rice and chicken. I had a plate of Fried rice and two pieces of chicken. The rice was small, that he noticed.

He asked if I was okay with the quantity or I would like an additional plate. I thought of how much he'll be spending so I said I'll like another plate because I was honestly extremely famished but he shouldn't worry, I could manage.

Well, he didn't agree. He ordered another plate for me. He ordered chicken pie with ice cream for himself. Ice cream? 😩 How could he have ice cream alone?
As though he read my mind, he asked if I cared for ice cream and I smiled. So I was given a cup full of Ice cream too. 😋

Did I hear anyone call me a foodie? Yes I am proudly in love with good tasty meals. I was given a big bottle of Fanta soda drink free of charge. What joy! 😂

Then we went to eat. We talked in between, laughed, snapped and I kept apologizing. He was mad at me for the stress though he wasn't saying anything or acting like it but I know him so well so I kept apologizing.

We seem to be the center of attraction in the eatery. First I saw people looking at my tray of food but who cares?
Somebody's son wanted me comfortable and well fed and I didn't disappoint him.

Did I mention he's very cute? Story for another day😂
We ate on a table by the window side, it had a wonderful view of the street from upstairs so everything was just perfect. The eatery was not crowded at all.

We had to call it a day after all that was done and said. We shared a hug for the first time in 4 years! Yes, I said 4 good years.

I have a big problem with touchy people so though he mentioned a hug once or twice, he never forced me and this happened at the perfect time. 😊

I'm happy about how all the events turned out. I didn't even use up to half of the money he sent me for transportation as he took care of all the bills. I felt bad but good guys will always be good guys. They have pride and will always want to show that they are not broke😂

I am filled to the brim! Happy and contented. I agree for the umpteenth time that unplanned moments sometimes make the best moments.
