Let's Write Together- The Lost Island of Mr Wiagi- A Huck Harris Adventure
This is an experimental Creative Write/Free write. I wrote this in the Hive.Pizza DiscordPizza Guild Discord while sharing my screen and asking for input/direction/whatever from the community. I think it will be an interesting way to construct a post and have no idea how this will turn out!

They are few:
Anyone else in the voice channel's input overrides mine- I will type and incorporate ideas and input as I do- ANYONE in voice can make me edit or whatever!

There was action! There were lights! There were cameras! It was everything that Huck had always dreamed of. He had finally made it. Those Facebook pages hadn't known what hit them. And yet they had been key to everything.
Huck Harris had finally got his big break. Now he stood on set with his idol Hu Hee about to film the biggest fight scene Jollygood had ever witnessed.
He waited with bated breath for the director to start the next scene and the cameras to start rolling.
SCENE 12, Take 1, ACTION
The aeroplane rumbled and bounced around him as Huck clung to the armrerst of the pilot seat. Hu was desperately trying to pull the nose of the plane level despite two failed engines and the raging storm outside the cockpit. The instrument panel was a blaze with sparks and flashing lights as the aircraft dove spiralling towards the sea. Huck knew they were in trouble, but this was no simulation and for some reason the fear that always overtook him in training was not present.
He reached forward and grabbed the stick in front of him, lending his incredible strength to Hu's efforts to pull the plane up. The two of them together managed to gain some small measure of control but it was not enough.
Lightning suddenly lit the storm outside in a brilliant flash and Huck realized they were below the clouds.
"Over there Hu, make for the island!" in the sudden brightness he had seen a dark mountainous shape amidst the churning waves. A rocky island rising up from the sea.
"I see it, Huck, hold on though, it's gonna get ugly!" He shouted through gritted teeth as he struggled with the controls.
"Drop the landing gear!" Huck let go of the stick for a second and the plane seemed to lurch into an even steeper dive. He managed to flip a switch on the panel to his right and thought he heard the whine of the landing gear extending from the fuselage.
"Not like it'll help much Hu," he stoically replied, grabbing the stick and struggling to pull the plane back again. They were only a few thousand feet above the water now, and Huck knew they would not have much hope of making it to the island that now rose ahead and above them. He knew he would be fine, he was Huck Harris after all. Hu on the other hand might not be so lucky.
"Brace yourself!" Hu shouted and released his grip on the controls. The image of him hunched forward in his seat with his hands over his head burned itself into Hucks mind. Huck refused to let go and pulled with all his might. The plane lurched, then with an ear shattering crunch, everything went black.
That's great fellas keep it up! One take! Let's roll right into the next scene!
Huck sat bolt upright, and immediately smashed his head on something hard. The hard thing broke. It was pitch black, but suddenly light came flooding in like it was scared of his disappointment. Huck expected strange events like this. The world knew when it was wrong. He realized with a shock that Hu had tumbled down next to him along with the shattered pieces of what appeared to be the top bunk of a bunk bed.
He glanced around and took in a small concrete room with a steel door. There were no windows. Or lights. One wall had a bank of machinery embedded into it. He stood and strode over to the door, inspecting the sliding panel at eye level and a hatch at its base. Next he cast his gaze over the machines. They appeared to be servers or computers of some kind. They whirred faintly and a few dim green lights blinked at him. They soon stopped. He moved back over to the bunk bed where Hu was finally stirring. He appeared to be unharmed other than a few shards of broken bunkbed embedded in his skin here and there.
"Wake up Hu, how did we get here?" Huck had no memory since they had crashed into the ocean, miles offshore of that strange island.
"Uhhhhh, I thought we crashed?!" Hu said, checking over himself for injuries and finding only splinters. "There's no way we could have survived!"
"Well we did, Hu, I didn't cower, I kept trying to level us out!" The image of Hu curled up in his seat flashed before his eyes and he suddenly grew furious.
"It was already too late Huck, the plane was going down no matter what! I probably survived because I assumed the crash position!"
Huck kicked the leg of the bunk, and it broke off. Hu fell to the floor.
At that moment a key scraped in the lock and the door began to grind across the concrete floor with a screech. An elderly man entered the room. There was something about him, a presence. He did not shy away from Huck's enraged stare. He was perfectly composed.
He tutted at the broken bunk and ushered Hu to move aside. He gestured for Huck to sit. Surprisingly Huck did.
"Welcome gentleman! You are lucky to be here. I am Mr. Wiagi and I have grown tired of training entitled middle-class children in the art of Harate. I left my jodo behind and have perfected my skills here on this island. I seek worthy apprentices to train so they may surpass even myself. I sensed that you both have some measure of skill in the martial arts, even as you crashed into the ocean, and took it upon myself to rescue you and bring you here."
"You rescued us? An old man? From the middle of the ocean, in a crashed and sinking plane?" Huck was incredulous, there was no way this old timer could have saved them.
"Search your feelings, you know it to be true." Was Wiagi's simple response. Hu seemed to think for a moment, then shook his head.
"..."
Before Hu could speak Huck leapt off the bunkbed and struck at Wiagi with his famous square barn kick.
"Hee-Haw!" he cried, expecting the old man to fall instantly.
Wiagi did not, he counterattacked!
He pulled a cloth from his sleeve and flicked it at Huck so fast that the air seemed to split. Huck barely registered the motion, yet felt a searing pain across his chin. He lost his footing and missed Wiagi with his barn kick. He slipped somehow, the floor was not waxed moments before. In shock he reached up to see if his chin was bleeding. His fingers encountered no beard.
In horror at the loss of his beard he attacked again, planting both feet and punching with all his might at the old mans chest. Mr Wiagi moved like lightning and easily brushed the punch aside. Hucks hand slipped the air like water off a waxed car into the concrete wall, which did not shatter. The bones of Hucks fist did instead.
Wiagi tutted again and stepped forward, and Huck backpedalled clutching his ruined hand. He tripped and found himself seated upon the broken bunk once more. Wiagi did not stop until his face was an inch from Hucks.
"You think that's air your breathing?" He asked with a terrifying glint in his eye.
"..."
An indeterminable time seemed to pass until it was suddenly broken by the raucous PFFRRRRRRTTTT of Wiagi releasing a cloud of toxic gas. As Huck slipped out of his lifeless corpse and into the realm of the dead. He saw Hu bow to his new Sensei.
Always fun with a Write Together! Oh, the ridonkulousness.
