My Favorite Water Quartet
Hello There
Welcome to my weekly Splinterlands post, and as for today I will talk here about my favorite quartet. This quartet is one of my favorite deck and has become my favorite strategy when I can use a water element. So who are those 4?
1. Baakjira The Tank
The first one is Baakjira, and he will fill the main tank role. He is one of my Favorite Tank because he doesn't ask for a massive mana. At level 3, he has void, and heal, these three make him so sturdy against magic attack. Unless you going big with some range attacks or some affliction ability, it's hard to know this big fish fast.
However one thing that makes him more valuable and become part my favorite quartet is his slow ability. This helps his team move faster or sooner his opponent, so Baakjira himself won't be lethal but he makes his backfriend team-mate getting faster.
2. Kulu Mastermind DPS
The second unit is Kulu Mastermind, and actually he is the core of this quartet. His weapon training makes Baakjira having a 2 to 3 melee damage, and that builds momentum for this team.
However one thing that is scary about Kulu Mastermind is that he hits very hard and very fast. He will swiftly eradicate your opponent backline if they do not have proper defense mechanism
3 Noa The Just
This is the debatable one however I still believe he deserves to be in my favorite quartet. Initially I only need his RUST ability, making sure that none of the opponents have armor. So he helps Kulu Mastermind kills a target every round.
However later I realize that his low health point is helping too. Opponent opportunity attackers will attack him first, and that helps other team mate to survive longer. Without magic attack, it is hard to kill Noa the just because he can dodge well.
4 Deep Lurker
The last is actually replaceable with some other cards as long it moves fast and hit hard too. But lately I feel Deeplurker is the best one. Usually if the battle runs a long rounds and opponent has a ridiculous tank, deeplurker poison ability can be a decisive one.
Frankly speaking, rcently more and more ridiculous sturdy tanks are introduced and those tanks make me stick more on Deeplurker.
These quartet is running for this logic:
- Baakjira will try to stand alive as long as possible. Noa the just will lure in opponents' opportunity attacks.
- Deeplurker and Kulu Mastermind will kill atleast a unit in each round. Noa the Just will make sure that no armor will hold their melee attack.
- Noa the just will act as the third tank or the last tank incase the first two big guys in front of him die. Deeplurker will try to kill with opportunity.
- The last 2 units are free to use, mostlikely I will select them to adjust the team with the ruleset. In general I will go with a Swamp Spitter
Swamp Spitter is a great choice because this dude attack big tanks hard enough with that Giant Killer ability, and defense well with his repair ability. In fact I think this card is almost perfect in any meta you want to go.
So how do you think about my Quartet? Do you think they are cool or it's just a bunch of clown?
Rather than a debate, let me show you a couple of battle here
HIGHLIGHTED BATTLE #1
The first Battle, Fours a crowd ruleset. so we have only 4 units and I pick with this quartet. My opponent uses Possibilus the Wise, so it will be a massive melee damage type one and it is not exactly the kind of attacks that good against Baakjira. Let see how this will go.
- Well, my team won the first round. We killed their Venari Spellsmith which turned out useless. Now my Baakjira would die soon and things would be back on equal ground
- see, it's a 3 vs 3 now but their side was the stronger one. However my team was the faster one, so it's too soon to conclude this battle.
- My team was back at leading again, however their diemonshark was enraged. I lost my Kulu Mastermind in this round.
- It turned out that my Noa The Just was a good one against this type of opponent. He could hold up both of them.
- Round 6 was the last. Good Game
Ok that's our first reference. It's clearly my team was the better one, we dominated from the middle till the last round.
I think Noa The Just can fill in the last tank role and due to it's evasive type, It gives different defense type than Baakjira and Kulu Mastermind.
HIGHLIGHTED BATTLE #2
Here our second battle, we had that super sneak ability and that reverse speed. In general this would not be beneficial to my side. Slow ability makes opponent dangerous by moving first than my team, and it is useless to have opportunity attackers.
However I think this quarted still could work good. Let see how this would be.
- The first round was an awkward one, nothing worked well for both sided. However in round 2, everything started to favor my side.
- suddenly it became 4 vs 6 here... My team somehow started to leave them behind.
- in Round 4, this became a 4 vs 2 battle. I believed things already were settled on this point.
- Without a shield ability, this would have ended on round 4. Good Game
Overall my team dominated again from round 2. I could say that my quartet worked excellently and although two of them died, four of them was exactly the core of my meta.
So what do you think? They four are amazing right? Thank you so much for your visit here. See you in Splinterlands Rank Battles!!!
