Having an unforgettable trip is one of the things to be thankful for. Like what I experienced when I took a tour to Halong Bay. I joined a one-day tour to explore Halong Bay by cruise. Initially, I joined this tour because I wanted to try riding a cruise while seeing the natural scenery around. But I never expected that during this tour we would stop at several places, for example at Tip top Island. Even before being explained by the tour guide, I had never heard of Tip top Island.

  • About Tip Top Island

Tip Top Island is one of the smallest islands in Halong Bay. The island only has an area of about 3.7 hectares. Nevertheless, this island is one of the visitors' favorites. When viewed from the air, this island has a beautiful shape. The island consists of a small towering cliff, a beach with beautiful white sand and clear water. Although the island is small, it has its own charm. Most tourists who come here will take the time to swim, so it's no wonder that the beach is full. I didn't bring a change of clothes, so I didn't swim and just played on the beach. Besides swimming, another recommended activity to do on Tip Top island is hiking. It is said that the view from the top of Tip top island is very beautiful. Unfortunately when I was there I didn't have the energy for hiking. But I regret not forcing myself to go there when I saw the photos taken by my friend from above were really very beautiful.

  • The origin of the name of Tip Top island

Another interesting thing about Tip Top Island is the origin of its name. Why is it called Tip Top Island? It is said that this name was taken from the name of a Russian cosmonaut named Gherman Stepanovic Titov. It is said that in 1962, he first came to this island with the President of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh.

  • How to get there?

There are many ways to go to Tip Top Island. Vietnam Tourism provides a variety of trips to explore Halong Bay, the most common of which is a day trip by cruise. One of them is the trip I took, which is Cozy bay premium. This is a day trip around Halong Bay, including lunch on the cruise. This package is very worth it. I feel satisfied to join the trip from Cozy Bay Premium Cruise. The food they served was very tasty and plentiful.Besides using a cruise ship, visitors can use a seaplane.
