Series review : DOONA!

Hello hive friends!
After waiting for months, the Doona! series finally aired on the 20th of last month on Netflix. I was really excited about this series, immediately watched it on the day it was released. It's just that I just had time to make a review.The reason I want to watch this drama is first because this drama is based on a famous webtoon. Then the second reason is that I like the two actors who played the main characters, namely Suzy and Yang Sejong. Maybe many of you have watched this series. But even so, I hope you still enjoy reading my review.

Doona is a star who no longer shines. In this series, Doona is depicted as a member of a girl group who is no longer famous. She is also a loner, she never even socializes with the neighboors. She lives in an apartment with two floors. She lives in the first floor. Her days were very boring before she finally met Wonjun, a student who had just moved in above where she lived. Their story started with a misunderstanding, when Doona thought Wonjun was an obsessive fan or often called a sasaeng in Korea. Until finally they became friends and lovers after resolving their misunderstandings, even though Wonjun refused when Doona tried to approach him.

This drama tells the winding journey of Doona's love with Wonjun. About the many conflicts in their romance. Also about Doona trying to get up again after a downturn. When doona has to decide to choose her love or her dreams.

My Opinion after watching this series

Honestly, even though this is based on a famous webtoon, I have never read the webtoon version before. I'm a fan of the webtoon too but I haven't had the chance to read it, until it was finally made into a series and I still haven't read it. Therefore, I have no expectations from the story or scenes in this series. So, I'm just going to write what I think about this drama based on what I watched.

I'll start from the storyline. In my opinion, the storyline is quite good and I enjoyed the scenes in this series. Not only does it tell the love story of the two main characters, but it also tells about their journey in achieving their dreams. Besides that, it also tells the stories of several people around the main character. I think that makes this series more interesting and not boring. For me, most dramas that only focus on the love story of the main character are boring.

The next thing I will review is the visuals. Honestly, I always like the visuals of Korean dramas. They did very well. Because this drama is adapted from a webtoon, so as much as possible they made the drama scenes and visuals similar to the webtoon version. And yes, they succeeded in my opinion. Again, I want to say that I really enjoyed watching this series.

At the beginning I mentioned that one of the reasons I watched this series was because I liked the cast. My first impression when I saw Doona was "Wow! She's gorgeous". I think anyone would agree with me that Suzy who plays Doona is Gorgeous. But besides that, she showed a very different acting. Especially the scene when she is smoking, I think she looks very charismatic. She managed to play Doona well. Doona's feelings can be conveyed well to the audience. Then, the main actor is Yang Sejong who plays Wonjun. This is his first drama since he was discharged from the military, so I've been really looking forward to it. No different from the female actors, the male actors also play their roles very well. He plays the innocent Wonjun. I even cried during the scene where Wonjun cried. And the most important thing is that he is very handsome, Lol. Apart from these two actors, I also really appreciate the acting of the supporting actors. They all work very well. I think not only the actors, but the entire team involved did well. It's just that there is one thing that bothers me,the hanging ending. Will there be a next season or not?
