Architecture of the famous giang cafe in Hanoi

Hello have friends! Happy Monday and happy activities. Make sure you are all healthy and happy. I want to review a cafe in Hanoi, Vietnam. The name of the cafe is cafe giang, which is famous for its delicious egg coffee. Before reviewing the architecture of the giang cafe, I want to explain a little about the giang cafe. Maybe many people already know about Cafe Giang or have visited there, but there are definitely those who are still unfamiliar with the name of this cafe. Cafe Giang is a phenomenal cafe located in Hanoi. Why is it phenomenal? Because this cafe is famous for the best egg coffee in Hanoi and has many testimonials on the website and social media. Some time ago, I had the opportunity to visit Giang Cafe. The location is in the old quarter area so it is easy to access.

At first, I thought the cafe looked big from the outside, but apparently it only looked like the top floor. To enter, we have to pass through a narrow passage. I thought the cafe was only on the top floor, but it turns out that after passing through the hallway, we will find tables and chairs and a cashier's desk. The first floor is a bit narrow, but there are several tables and chairs. This narrow room on the first floor has an old design. The tiles use brick red tiles and are decorated with several decorations such as wall clocks and old photos. The table and chairs are unique, they use small chairs and tables so when we sit it feels like we are squatting. This is my first experience of going to a cafe that uses tables and chairs like this.

When I first arrived, I was immediately directed to the top floor. To go upstairs there are stairs that use red brick tiles like the ground floor. And the wooden handle is painted in the same color as the floor on top, while the bottom is painted black. If you are confused by my explanation, then please look at the photo below.

For the second floor, there are three different sections. First is the inside area or back area, this is the area closest to when we get to the top of the stairs. Then the second is the front area close to the window. The last one is the middle area or outdoor area, which connects the front area and the back area. Let's discuss the back area first. This area is not much different from the ground floor, it's just brighter and there are more old paintings and photos. For tables and chairs, the same as downstairs.

Because I sat in the front area, the photos I took were more numerous and detailed. In this area the tables and chairs are the same as the two areas I mentioned above, only this area seems to have the most. For the floor, they used brick red tiles like the others. This area is busier and seems to be a favorite area for visitors. Of all, this area is the brightest because there are glass windows. This room is also full of wall decorations, from paintings, old photos, to a jersey with the autographs of famous Vietnamese football players.

The last one is the area that connects the front area and the back area. This area is an outdoor and indoor area. For indoor areas, this is the area close to the front area. Shaped like a hallway, but there are several tables and chairs for visitors too. This area is similar to other rooms. Then there are several stairs to the outdoor area. There are only a few chairs in the outdoor area and they are only used by employees, not visitors. In this open area several plants are also placed.

What do you think about the architecture of this giang cafe? In my personal opinion, this cafe is unique. This was my first experience sitting on a small chair like that in a cafe. And the place is quite comfortable and clean, I like it. Thank you for taking the time to read my review about Cafe Giang!
