Hello, friends especially foodies!

Have you ever gone to a katsu specialist restaurant? Well, recently i had an opportunity to have my lunch in one of the katsu specialist restaurant, actually there were only two of the restaurant that were katsu specialist, i ever gone to the other brand so this was my first experience having my lunch in this restaurant brand.

Katsukita was the name of the restaurant. This restaurant had some branches in some shopping centers, and i visited their branch in LG floor Central Park Mall, the same area where my church was located.

Looked like they had wooden bright nice surrounding from the outside.

They showed some of their menu on the banner.

Well okay besides their specialties, kind of katsu, they also had other menus like sukiyaki, don, even ramen.

They also showed some of their snacks below like tempeh katsu, tofu katsu, atsuyaki tamago cheese, chicken karaage, chicken yaki igyoza and tori dango.

On their menu book, they had kids package too and they even put it on their first page. And then they showed their appetizers like crispy salmon spicy, tempeh katsu, matah chili paste tempeh katsu, tofu katsu, matah chili paste tofu katsu, chicken karaage, chicken yaki gyoza, tori dango, atsuyaki tamago cheese, agedashi tofu, edamame, edamame garlic, and chawan mushi. They also had salad too.

For the chicken katsu, they had choices of chicken cheese katsu, salted egg chicken katsu, spicy cheese chicken katsu, matah chili paste chicken katsu, cheetos chicken katsu, and creamy mushroom chicken katsu. While for the seafood katsu, they only had prawn katsu...

and the salmon katsu. Well i never found any salmon katsu in other places before. They still had hamburg katsu, beef katsu, gyukatsu truffle cheese, and gyukatsu cheese. They also had curry series, beef or chicken sukiyaki, kind of nabe, and kind of steak (curious, maybe i wanted to try one of them someday). Oh yeah, they also had kind of donburi.

Don't forget that they also had ramen and udon menu...

And they had mochi and pudding dessert. Plus some drinks.....

But i just wanted a classic authentic Japanese drink that day. I guess you know what it was!

After ordered, i was waiting for the food to be prepared and saw around. This place was really nice with wooden major furnish. Even this accent also existed in their ceiling.

Look around me, many customers in this restaurant and this place only had an empty table left, right beside me. This was a sign that this restaurant was quite popular.

By the way while i ordered, the waitress told me about giving a short review in google to get the free tempeh katsu. Ok i would do it later, after finishing their katsu to know the flavour.

My classic drink came first, yes you are right, i had ocha. That time i asked it to be in warm condition.

The ocha tasted so good. Quite thick, it was calming. And anyway i could ask for free refill, wasn't that great?

Next, my katsu package was coming. Could you guess what kind of katsu it was?

Let's take a look closer to the katsu...

20240331_112150.jpg

I ordered their SPICY CHEESE CHICKEN KATSU in set.

So the katsu was completed with a bowl of rice (gohan), a bowl of miso soup and cabbage. They also gave ginger pickle and sesame separately.

For the chicken katsu, it had crunchy but soft texture of skin. The meat inside was smooth and soft. With light savory flavour for its' katsu, lucky for me that i ordered with cheese and chili sauce so it got a complete flavour of savory, sweet, sour and spicy.

I tried to dip it in the katsu sauce but i didn't like it cause this brown thick sauce was sweet. So i better didn't dip it there. It already tasty anyway.

20240331_112727.jpg

While for the cabbage i brought the sesame salad sauce to it and it tasted tasty too because they really mixed well and meant to be.

20240331_112912.jpg

Oh yes i almost forgot about the miso soup. It tasted tasty too, it had miso thick flavour with seaweed and tofu too.

20240331_112325.jpg

And now after i had eaten their katsu then i wrote a review then they gave me a free TEMPEH KATSU.

20240331_115359.jpg

Too crispy and had too thick skin, the tempeh didn't taste much in this menu. It had savory flavour but i didn't like it cause it was too crispy.

So i think this place had nice chicken katsu and you should try it. But i didn't recommend their tempeh katsu, but you still could try their other choices of snacks!
