Halloween Skull Girl – Easy DIY Hanging Plushie Needlework How to
Hello, friends especially needleworkers!
Halloween is nearby, I thought it was a perfect time to prepare some Halloween decoration, like the one I made last night. It was a skull with the bow on the top. I could hang it anywhere now.
Project Time: around 2.5 hours
Difficulty: easy
Materials & Things needed:
- Pencil
- Felt fabrics in white, orange, black
- Scissors, I used two of it, the paper one and the smaller craft one
- Needle
- Embroidery floss in black and also orange
- Multi purpose glue or any fabric glue or even hot glue you have at home
Skills needed:
- Whipped stitch
- Basic hand sewing
- Blanket stitch
How to make it:
1ST
I drew the skull on the white fabrics. Then cut it out, I copied one so I got two of the same skull.
2ND
Cut out also the eye and nose (heart reverse) from black felt. Then cut out a square around 4x4 cm.
3RD
I then did the hand sewing of the orange felt, first I made an accordion of it then I sew it in the middle. After that trim around like below.
4TH
Whipped stitch the nose and eye. Then made the simple reverse smile for the closed eye.
5TH
After that, made the smile again for the mouth then made some vertical sewing like below. For these things I used 6 strands of the black floss. Then I whipped stitch around and put on some filling stuff to it, then close (I also put on the orange floss to hang it).
6TH
After that last touch was pasting the bow on it.
The Result
Voila, here it is.. Halloween Skull Girl.
Go and make one at home too. Happy early Halloween!
