Hello, friends especially foodies!

On Sunday after the Sunday Service, I went to the Food Court which was located on the 2nd floor Gajah Mada Plaza, named Foodentic.

This food court was large with the choices of the food stalls that were vary too. The Food Court was clean and neat plus wide. The dining area was quite large but it was also quite crowded when I was there at around 12.30 pm.

And this food court also had the outdoor dining area.

The food court had batik motif floor which was esthetic.

And now I would like to go to a food stall famous for its’ gado-gado like its’ name, Gado-Gado Boplo. But beside gado-gado they also served some Indonesian food and as I know and tasted before, they also tasted so good. So I came to the food stall with the high expectation of their Indonesian food.

Here how the food stall looked

When I came it was empty, but when I had ordered and waiting for my food, look at how many persons lined up there..

From this fact, you could know that this food stall is popular there.

The Menu that this food stall had were
• Gado-gado
• Gado-gado with rice cake
• Ketoprak
• Ketoprak with rice cake
• Rujak Juhi (Roasted Squid Rojak)
• Tahu Telor (Egg Tofu)
• Chicken Soto with rice
• Beef Timbel Rice
• Chicken Timbel Rice
• Complete Timbel Rice
• Egg Gudeg Rice
• Chicken Gudeg Rice
• Boplo 1 package: rice with fried chicken, gado-gado in small portion and white fried chip
• Boplo 2 package: rice with empal (traditional cooked beef), gado-gado in small portion and white fried chip
• They also sold their side dishes only such as fried chicken, opor chicken, rendang chicken, empal beef, rendang beef, gudeg egg, opor egg and rendang egg.
• Even they sold their peanut paste for gado-gado also there.
• For the drink, they only had tea and mineral water.

I ordered their chicken gudeg rice, because once I had eaten it and it tasted so good so I would like to share it to you all here.

I had been waiting for a long time for the Gudeg rice, it took me almost 45 minutes for the gudeg rice, imagine!

Now let me tell you the taste and flavour of it

This was what I ordered CHICKEN GUDEG RICE

Chicken Gudeg Rice contained rice with dried stirred tempeh, gudeg (jackfruit cooked in traditional way), krecek (beef skin in coconut milk soup) and opor chicken.

Dried stirred tempeh had too sweet flavour with dry crunchy texture, it also had a bit spicy flavour. For the taste of dried stirred tempeh, I think it was just okay.

Then to the gudeg which made of jackfruit. Like usually it had sweet flavour with soft and a bit dry texture. I am not a fans of gudeg, and I think it was just fine.

Now the krecek that made of cow’s skin. The texture of it was chewy and soft. It had savory, sweet and spicy flavour. For me, it was one of the most favorite dish from all.

Last, the Opor chicken. Opor chicken was soft but it was too sweet. And oh no when I reached inside the meat, near the bone, it was full of blood, so unfortunately I couldn’t finish it. So yuck!

For the taste of the Chicken Gudeg Rice and the waiting time, I disappointed with this food stall. So I don’t recommend this food stall if you want to try our Gudeg Rice..
