Hello, friends especially foodies!

Recently when my aunt picked me up at the office after I got off from work, she took me to a restaurant named “Cabe Ijo”, and if it is translated into English, it would be “Green Chili”. Green Chili sold live seafood, where you could picked up whatever you like at front of it then they would charge you based on its’ weight…. or if you don’t want to mind with that you could be just like us, enter the restaurant then order the menus based on their menu book.

Green Chili had a quite large and wide dining area. It was clean and neat with rustic style of the room. It had a bright lighting plus no tile floor. On one of the wall they put down their name of “Cabe Ijo (Green Chili)” so that if we take any pictures it could be known that we took it in that restaurant.

Anyway the place was also completed with air conditioners so it was a nice place for us to have dine in and even chit and chat with your family or friends.

Now let me tell you the taste and flavour of each dish we ordered that day, here we go…

First, what we had was Garlic Kailan

20231024_190340.jpg

They cooked the fresh kailan vegetable, cut it correctly then stirred it with the garlic with a bit soup in it. The flavour of the kailan was savory and sweet. The kailan’s texture was soft and smooth. It had tasty flavour and all of us liked it.

Then, we also had Wheat Chicken

20231024_190343.jpg

It was fried chicken with the fried crisp made of wheat on the top of it. The texture of the chicken was soft but it had the sweet dominant flavor with a bit savory flavor in it too. The crisp on the top brought more savory tasty flavour to the chicken. Although it was quite tasty I didn’t like it because it had sweet dominant flavour in it.

And we still had Seafood Roll

It was made from seafood meat, then rolled with the egg. It had tasty savory flavour with soft texture, and served with the sour sweet sauce. So when i put the sauce on my roll seafood it would be savory, sweet and sour, a complete flavour for the Seafood Roll. With a portion that only had 8 pieces of it, it seemed less if you had it with your whole family, right?

We also had their Seafood Sapo Tofu

It had many ingredients in it. From Japanese Tofu, onion, shrimp, squid, carrot, mustard, small corn and other veggies, it was a complete dish for vegetable and seafood lovers. It had sweet and savory flavour, served with small thick soup which colored a bit brown. The portion of it was quite large so it was enough for you and the whole family if your family contained until 5 persons.

My plate that day, i ate the dishes with rice of course...

That was my first experience eating in Green Chili, I think the place is nice and comfortable while their food were just okay, but I am still considering of coming back there……

I think I would easily get full by just eating the Seafood Sapo Tofu almost everything is there and seems to be a perfect dish for someone like me who loves shrimps, onions, and veggies.

Kailan? I am not familiar with it, is that the English name of that plant? It looks yummy too.

The second one, I am curious about it's topping. I wonder how they made it, it really looks unique.

You seems really enjoyed all the food.
