Persistent experiences that may be borne by audiences.

Nemanja Matić joined the Italian side Roma from Manchester United, a natural deal in terms of idea, but it is exciting in some special details.

It is not the first time that Jose Mourinho has gone to a team, demanding that the Serbian field average be included, he did it before when he brought it from Benfica to Chelsea, from the Blues to the Red Devils, and now he returns the ball and includes it to the Italian capital.

Overall, the history of the ball has seen some coaches who have preferred to bring in certain names that succeed with them on their technical trips more than once, and we review with you below some elements that recur with the same manager in more than one team.

Nemanja Matić and Jose Mourinho

The Serb signed with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea in 2014 and was instrumental in bringing the Premier League trophy to Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho joined Manchester United in 2016, taking Matic with him a year later to the Red Devils battalion on a trip that was not the best for the duo.

Finally, the average Serbian field joined the ranks of the Portuguese-trained Rome team as well, so that Matic's story would continue with him for other seasons.

Carlo Ancelotti and James Rodriguez

The Colombian played in 4 of Europe's top 5 leagues, playing in Ligue 1 with Monaco, Real Madrid in Spain, Bayern Munich in Germany and Everton in the Premier League.

Carlo Ancelotti was the man responsible for 3 stages of those movements, with Ancelotti signing Rodriguez from Monaco, joining Real Madrid in 2014.

In 2017, the Italian signed Khamis on loan during his training spell at Bayern Munich.

Finally in 2020, Carlo brought the Colombian playmaker to English stadiums via Everton's gate.

Alex Bruce and his father

Football has many stories in which clubs are accused of letting nepotism happen in the coaches' choices of the elements joining the team, but the next story skipped that idea, because it was an explicit courtesy process without trying to beautify the image.

Father Steve Bruce brought his son Alex to the Birmingham English team in 2005, but accusations of nepotism towards the manager were highly present.

However, the two came together at Hull City in 2012, which proved to be a distinct experience for the player and coach.

Jorginho and Sarri

Jorginho was one of Napoli's most important pieces of art with manager Mauricio Sarri before the manager joined Chelsea.

The average Italian field immediately followed Sarri to London and quickly became a key figure in the team's starting line-up.

Sarri's story with Jorginho stopped at the Blues station, but reports were that he wanted to include the player when he was coach of the Italian Juventus ranks after the English experience.

Christian Banucci and Fabio Capello

Banucci was brought to Milan by Fabio Capello in 1993, and both enjoyed a successful stint in the Italian team, before leaving the coach to join Real Madrid in 1996.

Banucci Cabello followed to Madrid in January 1997, becoming the first Italian to represent the club, Fabio lasted only one season at the royal, while Banucci spent 3 years in the capital.

The Italian defender rejoined his coach in 2001 at the Rome team, before leaving Capello to coach Juventus.

That duality did not end there, and Capello's confidence in his defender seems to exceed expectations, bringing Fabio, Banucci, and his status as assistant coach, and the two worked together for a few last years in taking charge of the Russian team in 2012.

Ronald de Boer and Van Khal

Coach Louis van Khal signed with Frank de Boer at Ajax in 1993, on a journey that continued with many successes, making the Dutch veteran repeat that experience.

The player controversially joined Van Khal in Barcelona in 1999, in a deal that also included his brother Frank.

Paulo Ferreira and Jose Mourinho

Another of the players Mourinho moved from Porto to Chelsea, which proved to be a privileged deal for a defender who was often underappreciated over nine years in west London.

Ferreira was one of the most prominent names to contribute to the Portuguese coach's successes with Porto in 2004, thus creating mutual trust between the pair.

Jose quickly brought him into Chelsea's squad in the summer transfer window before the start of the 04-05 season to witness the journey of struggling in English stadiums.

The Portuguese right-back's journey at Stamford Bridge continues until 2013, when he announced the end of his story with football.

Nico Cranchar and Harry Redknapp

Cranchar signed his contract with the Portsmouth Club in 2006 under manager Harry Redknapp, and that experience was not reconciled with the team's relegation in 2009.

With this failure, Redknapp left to join Tottenham in 2008, taking advantage of Portsmouth's precarious status to sign Cranchar again.

That story did not stop when the player joined his coach twice. In 2012, Redknapp took charge of QPR to re-sign Cranchar.

Jermaine Defoe and Harry Redknapp
The English striker was among manager Redknapp's favourites, with Defoe joining manager Harry at West Ham United in 1999.

That journey continued in 2008 with the Spurs star joining his former Portsmouth coach.

With Redknapp's departure to Spurs coaching, Jermain Defoe quickly joined him to continue that bid duo until the latter's departure in 2012.

Peter Crouch and Harry Redknapp

Coach Redknapp seems to have been characteristically related to his players, joining that list of striker Peter Crouch.

The former Liverpool striker partnered with manager Redknapp in 2002 with Portsmouth, before leaving Crouch for Aston Villa.

In 2004, the pair reunited with the Southampton team after being joined by Crouch from Aston Villa, and Harry came to train him.

After a staggering stint at Liverpool FC, the English striker rejoined Portsmouth, the first time Harry had asked for the player himself and coincidence had no role to play.

Ricardo Carvalho and Jose Mourinho

Carvaleo was already in Porto when Jose Mourinho arrived in 2002, and the defender was a staple of the Portuguese's successes with the club, winning the Champions League in 2004.

Mourinho was rewarded with a move to Chelsea, soon followed by Carvalho with a £20 million deal, and the two continued their successes in London until Mourinho was sacked in 2007.

Once Mourinho ended up at Real Madrid in 2010, Carvalho was keen to join him, and they were reunited a few months after Jose arrived at the club.

Rafa Benitez and Salomon Rondon

Rafa Benitez had numerous training trips in various European countries, and was followed by striker Salomon Rondon in 3 clubs.

In 2018 Rondon joined the ranks of Newcastle United, who were taken over by the Spanish veteran coach.

When Rafa left for the Chinese team Dalian Professional, he was followed by the Venezuelan striker.

As Benitez returned to the Premier League again through the Everton gate, he immediately signed with Rondon, continuing that partnership before Rafa was told of his position.

Thiago Alcântara and Pep Guardiola

The average field of the current Liverpool team has had a great trip with Spanish coach Pep Guardiola before.

Alcantara made his debut in the first team in Barcelona in 2011, and Thiago wowed everyone with his amazing form and charming passes.

When Guardiola left for Bayern Munich in 2013, he insisted on bringing Thiago with him, as he believed Alcantara would benefit him in his new experience.

Pep did not continue with the Bavarian giants much, but Thiago continued until he left for Liverpool in 2020, after a successful and outstanding trip in the German side.

Only makes sense as you know what you are getting as you have experienced the player before.
