Seven Pounds | Drama Movie Review

I couldn't make sense of what happened until the last 15-20 minutes of the movie, I can even say that I had a hard time believing that the score was given to this movie for a while. Then those meaningless episodes were tied together so well with goosebumps. It is one of the rare films that bids the audience off with a perfect finale.

In fact, it is a continuation of Gabriele Muccino's debut after the movie Losing Hope. It has a very meaningful story in terms of scenario and is very rich in terms of drama. Certain scenes are memorable and are very deep. I think I could have cried if it was more exciting about the music.

A dramatic story can only be told in such a gripping, interesting and intriguing way. Especially the editing of the film should be appreciated. If the same story had been set in linear time, it certainly wouldn't have been such an impressive movie. It was also nice that our movie, which is based on the idea of remorse and paying for a mistake, can contain good and bad endings together.

It is a drama film released in 2008, directed by Gabriele Muccino, and Will Smith plays the main character Ben Thomas. The film tells the story of Ben, a successful but emotionally troubled IRS agent who embarks on a journey to make up for a mistake he made in his past.

Emily, played by Rosario Dawson, is a talented artist who is suffering from a terminal heart condition. Ben's love and support for Emily helps him to open up and confront his own emotions, ultimately leading him to find the inner peace and acceptance that he has been seeking.

The film's cinematography is also noteworthy, with Muccino effectively using visual cues and symbolism to enhance the film's themes and emotions. The use of color and lighting is particularly effective, with the film's darker tones and muted colors reflecting the somber mood and emotional turmoil of the characters.

A touching and emotionally powerful film that tells a compelling story of redemption and self-discovery. The excellent performances of the cast, especially Will Smith, and the visually stunning cinematography of the film make it a must-watch for drama lovers. The film may not be for everyone due to its plot and emotional intensity, but it will be a rewarding and thought-provoking experience for those willing to embrace its themes and feelings.
