Battle Mage Secrets: Earthquake

Earthquake is a ruleset where all monsters that don't have flying ability will take 2 melee damage at the end of each round. But be aware of monsters that have Snare ability. When a Flying monster is hit by a snare, the flying ability will be removed and will take damage in the earthquake ruleset.

Top Summoners for Earthquake: Modern Format

Summoner	Description
	Brighton Bloom: This summoner give your monsters the Flying ability. So even you put monsters that non-flying ability it still not be taken damage by the earthquake. As it receives the Flying ability given by the Brighton Bloom.
	Vera Salacia: This is a counter summoner for the Brighton Bloom. Because this summoner can give your monsters a Snare ability. So when your monster hit any monster their flying ability will be remove.

• If you don't have those summoners you can also choose a summoner that provided a shield. Like Kelya Frendul and Lux Vega. Or choose any Dragon summoner as most Dragon monsters have the Flying ability.

Ruleset	Description
	Keep Your Distance: Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles.
	Earthquake: Non-flying monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round.
	Heavy Hitters: All monsters have the Knock Out ability.

Active Splinter: Water, Earth, Life, Death, and Dragon

Battle Prediction

The Dragon splinter is open, if my opponent is whale or have complete cards he/she probably choose Brighton Bloom and go for Earth or Life splinter combined with Grenadier. So my strategy here is just add monster that have Flying ability and add ranged damage.

My Team

Team	Description
	Quiz the Devious: I choose Dragon Splinter because I want to put Void Dragon and Naga Assassin on my team.
	Pelacor Conjurer: It has the Flying ability which is fit for the earthquake ruleset. But I'm hoping my opponent will not use a monster that has Oppress ability. Oppress is an ability that does double damage to a monster that has no attack.
	Void Dragon: I choose this monster because it has the Flying ability. It also has Void and Phase abilities.
	Xenith Archer: For the damage team, I choose ranged attacks because I think my opponent will use Pelacor Conjurer or Failed Summoner as a tank.
	Naga Assassin: Another ranged monster, it has 2 ranged attacks and has Backfire and Swiftness abilities.
	Doctor Blight: I add Doctor Blight even though it has no Flying Ability. It is good because it has the Scavenger ability.

Start of Battle

Round 1

• My opponent also uses Quiz the Devious but I have Naga Assassin so I will attack first.
• Both enemy Doctor Blight and Weirding Warrior attacks miss hitting my Pelacor Conjurer.
• Opponent Void Armor gets poisoned by Doctor Blight.

Round 2

• Round 2 starts with an earthquake, and some monsters have remaining 1 health.
• My opponent Void Armor died in this round.
• Riftwing gets poisoned by Doctor Blight.

Round 3

• Weirding Warrior has only 1 health, it died because of the earthquake.
• Naga Assassin attacked Riftwing but miss, so Naga Assassin died because of Backfire.
• Pelacor Conjurer got poisoned by enemy Doctor Blight.

Round 4

• Opponent remaining monsters is Riftwing and Doctor Blight both have 2 health
• The battle started with an earthquake and it killed my opponent Doctor Blight and my Xenith Archer.
• Riftwing doesn't have any attack so I win this match.

With the Earthquake ruleset, I suggest using Brighton Bloom and adding a monsters that has a lot of damage or has a Snare ability. In this battle, if I have all the cards I probably pick Brighton Bloom, Failed Summoner, Epona, Queen Mycelia, Child of the Forest, Acid Shooter, and Grenadier. GG Dragonghost!
