An afternoon by the sea: portraits of my friend Ely [Eng-Esp]

A few days ago, my friend Elianis, whom I affectionately call Ely, made an appointment with me on the boardwalk where she was waiting for me with her friend Elizabeth. From the moment I saw them, I always thought of taking photos of them by the sea. Since I take my camera everywhere, I got to work and captured the really beautiful moments with it.

Hace unos días, mi amiga Elianis, a quien cariñosamente llamo Ely, me citó en el malecón donde me esperaba con su amiga Elizabeth. Desde el momento en que las vi, siempre pensé en tomarles fotos junto al mar. Como llevo mi cámara a todas partes, me puse manos a la obra y capturé los momentos verdaderamente bonitos con ella.

I was so happy to see them and spend time together, strolling along the boardwalk and sharing our stories and dreams. It was a very special afternoon, full of laughter and, of course, photos. Ely would come up with the most unthinkable poses, although it was more free flowing than actual poses. Elizabeth just watched us a bit demurely and, although she exchanged with us, she didn't want pictures.

Me alegró mucho verlas y pasar tiempo juntos, paseando por el paseo marítimo y compartiendo nuestras historias y sueños. Fue una tarde muy especial, llena de risas y, por supuesto, de fotos. A Ely se le ocurrían las poses más impensables, aunque era más un fluir libre que poses reales. Elizabeth solo se limitaba a observarnos un poco recatada y, aunque intercambiaba con nosotros, no quería fotos.

Later we went up to La Cabaña, although we were tired I always took two pictures. One of them I took advantage of the fact that their backs were turned and Elizabeth didn't notice it and I took it, later when I showed it to her she was happy, she says that she is very shy of the camera.

Mas tarde subimos hasta La Cabaña, aunque estábamos cansados siempre le tomé dos fotos . Una de ellas aproveche que estaban de espaldas y Elizabeth no lo notó y la fotografié , despues cuando se la enseñé se puso contenta , dice que le da mucha timidez la cámara.

When we said goodbye and they got on the bus back home Ely stuck her head out with that sparkling way she has, to say goodbye to me and that was the last picture of our day by the sea haha.

Ya cuando nos despedimos y se montaron en el autobús de regreso a casa Ely sacó la cabeza con esa manera chispeante que tiene, para despedirse de mi y esa fue la ultima foto de nuestro día junto al mar jaja
