[Esp/Eng] Mis inicios en el mundo maderero.

Hoy quiero presentarles parte de mi trabajo (Inventariando Pisos y techos de madera).

Today I want to present you part of my work (Inventorying Wood Floors and Ceilings).

Trabajo con Madera desde el año 1993, comencé en Venezuela en el estado Zulia, en un pueblo llamado Mene grande, fue mi segundo trabajo fijo, en un aserradero. Entre recomendada por la persona que había sido mi jefe en mi trabajo anterior. Trabaja en el área administrativa y de producción, me encanto el trabajo, el proceso de recibir la madera en Rolas y después convertirlas en tablones y tablas.

I have been working with Madera since 1993, I started in Venezuela in the state of Zulia, in a town called Mene Grande, it was my second permanent job, in a sawmill. I was recommended by the person who had been my boss in my previous job. Working in the administrative and production area, I loved the work, the process of receiving the wood in Rolas and then turn them into planks and boards.

Tenía muchos compañeros de trabajo y me gustaba lo que hacía y lo que aprendía a diario, el trabajo era muy manual, no había computadora, solo máquina de escribir, calculadoras, teléfono local. Comencé a conocer los tipos de especies de madera que se daban en esa región, para que la utilizaban, sus costos de producción y muchas cosas más.

I had many co-workers and I liked what I did and what I learned every day, the work was very manual, there was no computer, only typewriter, calculators, local telephone. I began to learn about the types of wood species that were found in that region, what they were used for, their production costs and many other things.

En el año 1994, mi jefe se asoció con unas personas del Estado Bolívar, por lo que mudo todas las instalaciones hasta allí, y en septiembre de ese año comenzó las actividad en esa ciudad y me dio la opción de mudarme hasta allá para continuar trabajando con él, fuimos 4 personas de confianza que decidimos mudarnos. La sociedad se llamó Aserradero San Miguel, eran 4 socios, 2 Italianos, 1 de las Isla Canarias y 1 Español, todo era diferente, los galpones eran más grandes, las oficinas, se trabajaban 2 turnos, la producción era mayor, porque teníamos mucha demanda, para ese momento la situación de Venezuela era otra. Me toco hacer cursos de Computación, aprendí un poco de Microsoft Excel, Word.

In 1994, my boss partnered with some people from the State of Bolivar, so he moved all the facilities there, and in September of that year began the activity in that city and gave me the option to move there to continue working with him, we were 4 trusted people who decided to move. The company was called Aserradero San Miguel, there were 4 partners, 2 Italians, 1 from the Canary Islands and 1 Spanish, everything was different, the sheds were bigger, the offices, we worked 2 shifts, the production was bigger, because we had a lot of demand, at that time the situation in Venezuela was different. I had to take computer courses, I learned a little Microsoft Excel and Word.

También conocí mas tipo de maderas, y todo lo que se procesaba de ellas, ya no era solo tablones y tablas, sino los diferentes tipos de Machihembrado pisos y techos, trabaje con ellos hasta finales del año 2001, hasta que mi jefe dejo la sociedad y arranco nuevamente solo pero a nivel de maderera, quiere decir que no procesábamos la madera, se compraba y se revendía, se traía de Brasil, estado Roraima, pero lamentablemente las cosas en Venezuela se paralizaron, en abril del 2002 se dio el intento de golpe de estado, lo que trajo una recesión económica muy fuerte, nuevas leyes, muchos impuestos, las importaciones se volvieron casi imposible, lo provoco que mi jefe tomara la decisión de cerrar las instalaciones e irse a Brasil a finales del año 2003. Así que me quede sin trabajo, hasta abril del año 2006 cuando comencé en esta empresa Corporación Maderteca, C.A.

I also knew more types of wood, and everything that was processed from them, it was not only planks and boards, but the different types of tongue and groove floors and ceilings, I worked with them until the end of 2001, until my boss left the company and started again alone but at the level of lumber, it means that we did not process the wood, it was bought and resold, but unfortunately things in Venezuela came to a standstill, in April 2002 there was an attempted coup d'état, which brought a very strong economic recession, new laws, many taxes, imports became almost impossible, which caused my boss to make the decision to close the facilities and go to Brazil at the end of 2003. So I was left without work, until April 2006 when I started in this company Corporación Maderteca, C.A.

Agradezco a Dios primeramente y mi Jefe Manuel Otero por darme la oportunidad de continuar trabajando dentro de esta rama. En esta oportunidad estoy actualizando y verificando los inventarios, aunque es asombroso se está moviendo un poco el mercado maderero y las personas están modificando sus casas, se está haciendo negocios. Aquí les dejo para de mi trabajo y de lo que hacemos.

I thank God first and foremost and my boss Manuel Otero for giving me the opportunity to continue working in this branch. In this opportunity I am updating and verifying the inventories, although it is amazing the lumber market is moving a little and people are modifying their homes, business is being done. Here I leave you for my work and what we do.
