Grilled Turkey Burgers
It’s time to make some burgers. I used ground turkey and added some chopped ginger, cilantro, scallions, salt, pepper, a dash of hot sauce, and a bit of lemon juice to the meat mixture before forming them into patties. I then cooked them on the grill until they were done. I served them with roasted sweet potatoes that I baked in the oven along with some fresh vegetables from my garden. For dessert, I made some delicious strawberry shortcake. So, lets spice it up! Some Thai hot peppers, cilantro and peanut butter will do wonders for the moistness of our burgers. Let’s start!
Ingredients:
2 Pounds 97-percent lean, ground turkey breast
2 Chopped Thai hot peppers
2 Scallions, chopped
2 Tbsp. chopped ginger
1 Cup chopped cilantro
3 Tbsp. smooth peanut butter
1 Tbsp. of salt
½ Tbsp. of black pepper
1 Tbsp. of sesame oil
1 Tbsp. of low sodium soy sauce
Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients together
Create about 12 burgers and refrigerate for about an hour to allow them to firm and absorb the flavors. Pre-heat a grill to 370F and cook the burgers 10 minutes on each side.
Whether you like it in a bun or in plate, they are the moistest turkey burgers you will ever have, and with flavors that will stay in your month long after you ate them. Enjoy
