Dec. 10, 22: Routine, Pizza Events, World Cup, TV, and Games

[Oi! Been a while since I’ve been this late getting going on my post. 😱 Nearly quarter past nine and I’m only just starting; not sure I’ll be able to get done in time…the skeleton is done and I’m starting into the actual diary part, but only twenty minutes left, cutting it tight!]

Woah, buddy! Tonight was one of the roughest I’ve had in a while. We went out to the Christmas party last night and so didn’t get home till late and then started watching a movie, so it was nearly midnight before I finally got to sleep. The snoring woke me up at kind of an awkward time, like around four thirty or something…not so early that it felt worth it to go out to the couch, but not late enough to want to get up.

I nudged her and she quit for a while but by the third time I’d been woken up I just got up. That was about quarter past five and I ended up a good three hours short on sleep. 😭 It’s not like I was all that well rested and could withstand a blow like that, but it is what it is. I dragged wicked hard and zonked out in between the games, but only for a quick catnap.

Got on with an early start to the morning routine. Not much out of the ordinary to note there, just the usual checking the crypto markets, curation, token shifting, and chatting over on Discord. Got to work on my post for the day and got it done with plenty of time. Once it was published and shared it was overloaded time…the game was on and there was Gartic.

I did sort of half play and got a few of the pictures, but Gartic was tough and we didn’t come close to the record. Meanwhile, Morocco played Portugal. Unbelievable, just unreal!!!! Morocco beat Portugal, properly in regulation time one to nothing. I was rooting for the underdog, but I don’t think many actually expected that outcome! That means that both Brazil and Portugal are out now…never would have thunk it! 😯

In between games I grabbed some lunch and there was WOO pack opening. I won another card and got some WOO tips and it was cool to hear about all the neat stuff they’ve got going on…I would have thought that these pro wrestlers would have a lot of money, but it seems like they often get used and are “independent contractors” so they don’t get any healthcare benefits or anything like that; awesome to see a Hive project helping them!!!! 💪

Then there was Pizza Trivia! If you ask me it’s major overload having the three events back to back on Saturday morning, but for the first time in a couple weeks I actually played Trivia (stayed for the whole time for all three events, actually).

Once Trivia ended, it was time for the second quarter final match between England and France. That was a solid matchup and a tough game for both sides, but France came out the victor two to one (with Kane missing the tying penalty kick 😮). Now the semifinals are set and we have a couple days to wait.

Once the game ended, it was shower time. 😉 Wenche was planning on making us pizza for dinner, but neither of us was really hungry and I just had a piece of toast instead.

We put on a Disney movie: Sorcerer’s Apprentice with Nicholas Cage and it was quite good! 😁 It was pretty amazing that I hadn’t crashed out yet, but I got myself ready for bed and worked on the WombPlay challenges and fell asleep watching something or other on the tube.

Holy hell, dShitty! Two crises again today and even without additional crime crap my income was only four SIM. 🤬🤬 At least the stated income and actual income were closer to eachother (as if that’s some consolation). Oh, and they muddied the waters further by giving two, very disparat, estimates for my Shitty value; not that I care that much but a number is a number (understood as an estimate), now I’m somewhere give or take forty thousand SIM or so. 🤷🖕

I actually remembered to go in twice today on Rising Star. When I went in the second time, I had seven percent Ego from drunks and just ran another mission, but they’ve expired now and I had one percent actual Ego, so running a lesson to get it back down.

It is, it must be, just force of habit that makes me continue doing this HashKings section…I remember it took me a long time to let go of CryptoFuckMaster and Holybread as well. I think this one is close to getting relegated to that same bin.

Today’s Splinterlands rental income was stable with yesterday’s at $2.2. We’re creeping back up towards where I was a few weeks ago, but still about a third down on average.

I got lucky this time and got one of the airdrop summoners! Between not playing, renting my deck, and not opening the packs I’ve bought, it had been a seriously long time since I got a new card! Got added onto the rentals, so hopefully it helps.

Claimed my SPS interest, paid the rental fee with it, and staked up the rest. With PPUD coming up and feeling like I still don’t have enough INK, I was kind of thinking of saving it…I do still have some liquid HIVE left, though, so continuing to stick with the plan for now.

Slowly but surely my balance is growing and my daily stake rewards are too. 🤑😁 Been really helpful with tips and stuff over on Discord…I completely dig the participate and earn philosophy that they and Pizza have…really need to try and emulate that if possible once Mythix server gets going. 🤔

Still no mining rewards for today, but I did win another card to stake (but haven’t got it yet).
