In the first season, I was very disappointed at the beginning because the main character, Nadia, wasn't as charismatic as I was expecting, and because the series wasn't very funny, not for me at least.
The one thing that interested me was the time loop she was experiencing, how she got trapped in it and why was it happening.
Season 1 provided a non-deep answer about why the time loop was happening, but I think there could be much more to it. Its ending could have worked as the final ending of the entire series, and it probably would have been fine and acceptable for most viewers. This is why I was excited about season 2, I wanted to see how the writers were able to continue with this story when everything made it look like it has reached its end.
Plus, after seeing all the craziness these characters lived through in the first season, I guess I was a bit emotionally involved in their story and simply had to see how it continued.
So, season 1 ended with our 2 main characters reaching some type of fix for their limbo in the time loop, but instead of being 100% happy about it, they had mixed feelings because now each of them 2 was in a separate universe. It is like reality split their timeline in 2, with one of them in each different version although this didn't last long.
For a moment, there were 2 versions of each of the 2 main characters. One of them remembered the time loop, and the other one doesn't. And since this reality likes to troll with them, it mixed them up, so the version of Nadia that remembered was now sharing this reality with the version of Alan that didn't remember, and the same happens in the other reality. However, this was just a temporary trouble and gets a happy solution very quickly.
En la primera temporada, me decepcionó mucho al principio porque el personaje principal, Nadia, no era tan carismático como esperaba, y porque la serie no era muy divertida, no para mí al menos.
Lo único que me interesó fue el bucle temporal que estaba experimentando, cómo quedó atrapada en él y por qué estaba sucediendo.
La temporada 1 proporcionó una respuesta no profunda sobre por qué estaba sucediendo el bucle temporal, pero creo que podría haber mucho más. Su final podría haber funcionado como el final de toda la serie, y probablemente habría estado bien y aceptable para la mayoría de los espectadores. Es por eso que estaba entusiasmado con la temporada 2, quería ver cómo los escritores iban a hacer para continuar con esta historia cuando todo parecía que había llegado a su fin.

Entonces, la temporada 1 terminó con nuestros 2 personajes principales alcanzando algún tipo de solución para su limbo en el bucle del tiempo, pero en lugar de estar 100% felices por ello, tenían sentimientos encontrados porque ahora cada uno de ellos 2 estaba en un universo separado. Es como si la realidad dividiera su línea de tiempo en 2, con una de ellas en cada versión diferente, aunque esto no duró mucho.
Por un momento, hubo 2 versiones de cada uno de los 2 personajes principales. Uno de ellos recordó el bucle temporal y el otro no. Y como a esta realidad le gusta trolear con ellos, los mezcló, por lo que la versión de Nadia que recordaba ahora estaba compartiendo esta realidad con la versión de Alan que no recordaba, y lo mismo sucede en la otra realidad. Sin embargo, esto fue solo un problema temporal y obtiene una solución feliz muy rápidamente.
This is why I really scratched my head when I started to think about where season 2 could go. It is clear there are multiple realities, and time anomalies in this world, so where is the story going to go now? Are the 2 main characters going to keep experiencing time anomalies? Or are they going to finally be able to have a normal life?
This also raises the question regarding how many different realities and different versions of them actually exist? My expectation was to see season 2 exploring this path, and introducing new versions of them. However, this type of story can get quite complex and I wasn't sure if the writers were able to navigate such complexity. So far, the story was more or less quite simple and complicating it could end up ruining the series.
What I can say about season 2 is that time itself is the biggest troll there can be. In season 1 it trolled the main characters by keeping them trapped, and now, it decided to apply a different method of trolling but it continues to mess with the main character, Nadia.
She must have pissed off some God or some coders of that simulation because that poor woman can't seem to take a break from this high-level trolling.
Just like in the first season, she takes this new time anomaly with a completely relaxed attitude given her nihilistic outlook on life, and she just goes with the flow.
Now, there is an added twist in this season because the time anomaly isn't the only crazy thing going on, the show also deepens on some issues related to Nadia's family, and we begin to understand some family scenes from the previous season.
It seems that time is putting her in these situations to force her into fixing things that could have made everything much better for everyone involved. Which is something similar to what was required in season 1 to fix the time loop.
Finally, if you're interested in the topic of time anomalies, one of the best series I've seen in recent months is called Calls, I highly recommend it.
Es por eso que realmente me rasqué la cabeza cuando comencé a pensar en dónde podría ir la temporada 2. Está claro que hay múltiples realidades y anomalías de tiempo en este mundo, entonces, ¿a dónde va a ir la historia ahora? ¿Los 2 personajes principales van a seguir experimentando anomalías en el tiempo? ¿O finalmente van a poder tener una vida normal?
Esto también plantea la pregunta con respecto a cuántas realidades diferentes y diferentes versiones de ellos mismos existen realmente. Mi expectativa era ver la temporada 2 explorando este camino e introduciendo nuevas versiones de ellos. Sin embargo, este tipo de historia puede ser bastante compleja y no estaba seguro de si los escritores podían navegar por tal complejidad. Hasta ahora, la historia era más o menos bastante sencilla y complicarla podría acabar arruinando la serie.
Lo que puedo decir sobre la temporada 2 es que el tiempo en sí es el troll más grande que puede haber. En la temporada 1 troleó a los personajes principales manteniéndolos atrapados, y ahora, decidió aplicar un método diferente de troleo, pero continúa metiéndose con el personaje principal, Nadia.
Ella debe haber enojado a algún Dios o a algunos desarrolladores de esa simulación porque esa pobre mujer parece no poder tomarse un descanso de este troleo de alto nivel.
Al igual que en la primera temporada, ella toma esta nueva anomalía del tiempo con una actitud completamente relajada dada su perspectiva nihilista de la vida, y simplemente sigue la corriente.
Ahora, hay un giro adicional en esta temporada porque la anomalía del tiempo no es lo único loco que está pasando, el show también profundiza en algunos temas relacionados con la familia de Nadia, y comenzamos a entender algunas escenas familiares de la temporada anterior.
Parece que el tiempo la está poniendo en estas situaciones para obligarla a arreglar cosas que podrían haber hecho que todo fuera mucho mejor para todos los involucrados. Lo cual es algo similar a lo que se requería en la temporada 1 para arreglar el bucle de tiempo.
Por último, si el tema de las anomalías en el tiempo les interesa, una de las mejores series que he visto en los últimos meses se llama Calls, se las recomiendo de lleno.

Either way, this season's story got very messy in the second half and it seemed to me the writers had no idea how to properly continue with the time-related complexities they added to the plot.
The ending of the season gets gradually crazier and crazier as the series tried to portray what would happen when a paradox is taking place, and this is one of the moments I enjoyed the most due to the creativity required to present this time of scifi event in such a convincent way.
Final thoughts
Season 2 of this series wasn't better than the first one. The 2 main characters didn't interact much with each other, although their little adventures with this new time anomaly were a bit entertaining. Especially with Nadia who was the main character again, Alan was more like a secondary character this season. This time anomaly was much friendlier than the first one,and as a result, there was a less urgent feeling to solve it.
This series explored time-related scifi concepts which can usually be quite complex to properly develop, but it did so in a very relaxed way without taking everything too serious, just like the main character is with her own life.
I didn't like the fact that Alan hardly got any time on the screen, I was expecting to see him just as much as Nadia but he only appeared a few times with little to no time on screen, with the exception of the last episode where he's an important part.
I really don't think this series should continue, it seemed to me this show was originally thought to be a 1 season story, but given its success, a second season began to be produced. The story during some moments was very convoluted and it sometimes felt a bit forced, which makes me think the writers were mostly improvising while trying to figure out how to solve their time-anomalies mess. I don't see the point in continuing with more Nadia adventures and I don't think I will be watching a third season even if it gets released.

De cualquier manera, la historia de esta temporada se volvió muy desordenada en la segunda mitad y me pareció que los escritores no tenían idea de cómo continuar adecuadamente con las complejidades relacionadas con el tiempo que agregaron a la trama.
El final de la temporada se vuelve cada vez más loco a medida que la serie intenta retratar lo que sucedería cuando se produce una paradoja, y este es uno de los momentos que más disfruté debido a la creatividad requerida para presentar este evento de ciencia ficción de una manera tan convincente.
Reflexiones finales
La temporada 2 de esta serie no fue mejor que la primera. Los 2 personajes principales no interactuaron mucho entre sí, aunque sus pequeñas aventuras con esta nueva anomalía del tiempo fueron un poco entretenidas. Especialmente con Nadia, que fue el personaje principal nuevamente, Alan fue más un personaje secundario esta temporada. Esta vez la anomalía fue mucho más amigable que la primera, y como resultado, hubo una sensación menos urgente de resolverla.
Esta serie exploró conceptos de ciencia ficción relacionados con el tiempo que generalmente pueden ser bastante complejos de desarrollar adecuadamente, pero lo hizo de una manera muy relajada sin tomarse todo demasiado en serio, al igual que el personaje principal lo es con su propia vida.
No me gustó el hecho de que Alan apenas tuviera tiempo en la pantalla, esperaba verlo tanto como Nadia, pero solo apareció unas pocas veces con poco o ningún tiempo en pantalla, con la excepción del último episodio donde es una parte importante.
Realmente no creo que esta serie deba continuar, me pareció que este programa originalmente se pensó que era una historia de 1 temporada, pero dado su éxito, se comenzó a producir una segunda temporada. Sabes existen muchas variabilidades, al leerte me recordó a The rain en la tercera temporada, toda una cosa, no se si la viste. Ciclos de temporalidad o tiempo es un aspecto interesarte, pero poco conjuntivo. No he visto esta serie, pero si es algo cíclico, y aparte diseñado para solo ganar, no tiene sentido. Bueno, varios aspectos nos ayudan a ver como son las cosas hoy día con las producciones, pues.
La serie que mencionas The Rain no la he visto bro pero la voy a revisar, y con respecto a Russian Doll, yo creo que soy de las pocas personas a las que no les gustó del todo esta serie, creo que a la mayoría sí le gusto así que tampoco quisiera desanimar a nadie a que le den un vistazo 🙃.

Este fin de semana si voy a sacar tiempo para ver esta, los episodios son cortos, es mas fácil de ver y me la han recomendado mucho, pero voy a asacar el tiempo para verla. La actriz me gusta , la vi en Orange is the New Black, donde hizo un inolvidable personaje. ya basta de postergar esta serie. Es momento de verla.
Ojalá te pueda gustar JC, la serie es ciertamente única pero en mi caso termino siendo bastante diferente a lo que yo me esperaba y tampoco me pareció muy graciosa a pesar de que la comedia es uno de sus géneros. Si llegasen a sacar una temporada 3 no creo que la vea haha.

A mi me gustó mucho la primera temporada, me identifiqué bastante con Nadia, Natasha Lyonne me pareció estupenda, y me gustó la anomalía temporal, aunque me pareció algo predecible la forma en la que la resolvieron.
Comencé a ver la segunda temporada hace tiempo, sin embargo, no me ha llamado demasiado la atención como para continuar viéndola, pero pronto le daré la oportunidad para poder saber qué pasa. Al igual que tú pienso que la serie debió haber terminado en la primera temporada, la segunda me parece completamente innecesaria y una sobreexplotación de la historia.

Hehe bueno por lo visto debo ser la única persona a la que Nadia no le cayó muy bien desde el comienzo 🤣. Gran parte de los diálogos de la serie no me parecían entretenidos, muy banales, y menos relevantes a lo que yo esperaba. Así que supongo que esta serie sencillamente no era para mi, al menos no del todo 😅

Cuando ví tu post me dije: "hey aún me falta terminar la segunda temporada de esta serie", ya no lo recordaba.
Resulta que ví la primera y me pareció interesante, incluso coincido en que bastaba tener ese final y ya. Cuando me enteré que comenzó la segunda temporada pensé que debía entender hacia donde iba esto ahora, pero honestamente solo pude ver 3 capitulos de la 2ds y ya la dejé para después...
De hecho, considero que se desordenó la trama y me bastaba con la primera temporada.
Lo único que puedo decir es que, voy a terminar de verla por lo que comentas del giro que da, ya me dió curiosidad. Y lo otro es que la actrtiz y el personaje en serio me agrada... Está muy loca y me parece buena actriz, aunque no entendí muy bien si evolucionó en la primera temporada, al comenzar la segunda deja un curioso retroceso.
Bueno, el caso es que recordé que tengo que terminar de verla.
