Hive | Turning Your Hobby into a Passive Income
Who would have thought of earning a passive income on the internet without investing some time ago when not a bunch of people were not using internet. But then things changed and internet has become more common now with a good number of people using it.
You might now find people working on the internet either in home, office or remotely doing freelancing, filling online surveys etc.
One of the latest technology is crypto and blockchain that has enabled users to earn passive income without even investing a penny.
Take for example, Web3 decentralized social media platform Hive, users can literally start from zero on the platform.
I have started on Steemit back in July 2017 and then skipping to Hive after a few years. I have now more than 10k Hive, cashed some into my local currency and also invested a little sum into other crypto projects. Yes, I started from zero. I didn't invest a single penny to start.

The best thing about Hive is that if you have a hobby you can share your hobby with the fellow Hivians and earn some rewards. I don't think that would cost you.
Almost everyone has a hobby. Hobby is something we do in a free time helping us feel relax and unwind. Some people have a hobby of writing. Some hobbies could cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars to get started. This is why writing is said to be a hobby which won't necessarily break your bank.
As there have been some debate whether short form content may be allowed on Hive on not, but it looks like some users still won't allow short form content. It's good that Hive now has #LeoThreads, which is a Twitter type short form content platform. On #LeoThreads, users on Hive can do microblogging and could receive upvotes on their threads they share.
One thing to keep in mind that Hive is not a get rich quick scheme. You have to work for building your reputation and turst in the community which would require your patience and consistency.
Engaging is highly encouraged on the platform in order to get exposure. Now, you are not promised to earn rewards on each of your post, because sometimes your post could get unnoticed and you may not get the rewards it deserve but showing up regularly and working consistently may help you with earning a passive income from the platform.
You have to work on building trust and a good reputation on the platform.

Good post =D
I have a doubt. Do you recommend to gain trust and reputation by promoting own posts using Ecency's POINTS? That's what I do to let my posts be relevant in Hive, because otherwise I feel "invisible" on Hive, no matter how original and good quality my posts have.
Why not.
If you feel your post is a good quality post, promotion could prove useful :)
Thank you ^^

I agree that blockchain gives you opportunities, which we never had before, but technically you investing your time. And you know what they say: time is money 😁

The application of numerous principles and disciplines over time is definitely the only way on Hive... unless you can just throw money at it and immediately become an orca or a whale. Hive is a journey, for sure!
Nice post. I totally agree with you. Each one of us has our hobbies, our stories to share with the world.
