Market Friday goes to Asian Grocery Store in Astoria, New York City🌝
Hello friends,
Happy #marketfriday to everyone!
It is May, 2022 and warm weather is finally here in NYC. It is now constantly above 70F or 20C. This time we went to Asian store at 30th Avenue, in Astoria to buy some Henna Tattoo for our three year old toddler. It was her first tattoo (temporary) and she liked it very much. The henna tattoo lasts for 7-10 days.
We took some photographs of the shops, Henna and tattoo on hand to share with #Marketfriday community organized by lovely lady @dswigle.
All photos are taken by me with Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
Thank you for being with me on my photography blog for #marketfriday.
Love and well wishes to all hive user. Thanks a lot.

WoW! that's quite fun. I had never tried or seen one of those IRL. I would if I could. Love tattoos , though I have none. I also loved it when I had temporary tattoos as a child ( though we were terrified because people said it caused skin cancer😅) I remember how funny it. Nice shop.
Your pictures of Astoria are stunning. Nice photography! Your little girl's tattoo is so sweet! Did your wife do the artwork on it?
I had a henna tattoo at one of the Folklife Festivals here in the Washington, DC area. The Egyptian display was doing free tattoos. My sister-in-law and I got one. I had a Turkish one done years ago and I must say that each country and region has unique styles and traditions.
Thank you for sharing with us!
Thank you for being part of #MarketFriday! I am honored.
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
