I want to encourage you today to read 2 Kings 3:16-20.

And prepare for your blessings. And these verses will recognize our needs for God's provision.

The Kings and their armies were in a desert with no water for themselves or their animals. They were desperate and knew they couldn't win the battle without water, so Elijah instructed the Kings to dig ditches in the valley, which at that time seemed like a strange request. But the Kings obeyed anyways and their obedience was rewarded when water flowed into the ditches.

When God gives us instructions, they may not always make sense to us, but we must obey anyway. Our obedience positions us to recieve the blessings that God has in store for us. We must have faith that God will provide for us.The Kings had faith that God will provide water for them, even in the middle of the desert.

So, today prepare for your blessings just as the Kings did.
