Civilization : A Monster That Has Both Advantages and Disadvantages.

All thanks to civilization for without it,Though the sun rises every morning and the moon shines at the right time, yet the world would have been in uttermost darkness.

The rise of different philosophers, scientists, educationists, psychologists e.t.c. Has helped to bring the needed help. Our world receives light, and our hearts are illuminated. Tasks that our fathers found so difficult to accomplish, is now achieved in a jiffy. Things have become easier and better.

We connect with anyone around the world in just a moment!
We get answers to most questions on our mind through the internet. Just type it and you will get answers!

PRO

Civilization has opened our eyes to many delicacies. We eat different types of dishes and support's it with different types of drinks.

CON

But now almost every one of us at this moment feeds on junks, which reduces our life span. My friend and I were discussing Food's last week and I was like the people in the old days, though they are less privileged, yet they live longer than this new generation. Why?

That’s because all we feed on is frozen food. But they consume their own raw and fresh.

Yes, life is easy. You can just grab a snack from a a fast food joint, You also can just bring it out of the freezer and microwave it, it saves time, it saves money. Yes! Thanks to civilization, but it’s poisonous also, it kills slowly!

Yes, now we can preserve food and help save generations, but how long would the generations live. Different diseases are being discovered every day due to our lifestyle's.

PRO

Though we are now living in a world, called global village. We meet numerous people on the internet and the world of an introverted personality got to have meaning.

CON

We are all connected, yet we are distanced and miles apart from our immediate families.

The Internet and social platforms have taken away the golden connection we once had with our family's. We interact more with people online than with people around us, this has caused us many broken homes. One of the things that makes marriage to have a long span is regular communication with one's spouse. But in a situation where the husband is busy online, and the wife also is busy surfing the internet, then communication is not in their dictionary!

Children also suffer when parents are online 24/7, Our parents goes to work from morning till evening, but the little time they have at home their presence ought to be felt. But no, there is still a lot of research to be done after work
It wasn’t like that in time past, but it’s just one out of so many disadvantages of civilization.

Children go through a lot on their own because of lack of attention from home, and they get influenced by friends easily.

Whenever i go home for the semester break, my mum also complains about me being on the phone too much, even when she has things to discuss with me, my head will be buried in the phone.

Until she'll ask, I hope you are getting what I’m saying? or what do you think? Only then will I realize that all my shaking of heads while she was talking was a lie. I didn’t grab the message she was passing across.

Now I have learned to always put my phone away whenever important discussions are going on.

Civilization has brought us numerous advantages, But it is being accompanied by numerous disadvantages as well. We are all aware of the damages the development
of nuclear weapons is causing in the world today. To me, civilization is never good nor bad. It’s just something we have to accept as fate and pray to be part of the people choosing the right means of utilizing it.
