Corn snack recipe with grated coconut coating
Hello community and vegan lovers, good afternoon and happy weekend to all of you. Hope you have a nice weekend. Today I want to share a very simple snack recipe by combining just a few ingredients into a delicious snack for us to enjoy.
Even though we now live in a modern era with various interesting and contemporary foods made from corn, this traditional snack is still a favorite of many people in my area.
Corn is an important source of protein in the community's menu. Corn is rich in functional food components, including dietary fiber needed by the body, essential fatty acids, minerals, essential amino acid composition and others. This makes us aware of how important it is to live healthily by choosing healthy food ingredients to be processed and enjoyed.
This healthy food/snack from corn has been around since the old days when I was little, and was often made by my parents at home. Sweet corn that is boiled first and then combined with savory grated coconut makes this snack really delicious. Let's see the recipe and how to make it below.
Ingredient Needed:
- 5 pieces of sweet corn
- 1/2 coconut (slightly old coconut)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (to taste)
- Enough water to boil the corn
How to make:
First: peel the corn and wash it clean. Split the corn (I adjust it to the pan I use to boil it, if the pan used is large, it doesn't need to be split). Add water until the corn sinks.
Second: boil the corn for 25 minutes or until cooked. Remove the corn to another container. Comb the corn
Third: prepare grated coconut. Add salt to taste then add granulated sugar. Stir well. Correct the taste and serve
Done..
The combination of the natural sweetness of corn and the sweetness of granulated sugar does not make us nauseous (the language we use), you know, I don't know the formal language. Huhu This snack is certainly very delicious, my son also likes it.
This grated coconut corn snack is still not known to many people. Maybe this food only exists in my area of Aceh. Aren't you curious about the taste?
