Under 20 cents...

Well here we are. $0.188 as I write this. We broke under 20 right before I went to bed, and seems like it hasn't recovered while I was asleep, as I hoped it would.

BTC isn't doing too well either. Under $60k. Heading towards 57k. It seems like this Mt Gox sale has the market spooked and emotion always wins in the markets.

The question now becomes will HIVE recover? We might assume BTC will eventually recover. Nothing is for certain, of course, and many (like @edicted) have mentioned that this will be a wild summer until September, but it is hoped that BTC will recover. But will it bring HIVE with it...?

I don't know. I'm not a prediction guy. Follow edicted or @scaredycatguide if you want some technical analysis and predictions. I do know Warren Buffet's famous line:

Be fearful when others are greedy and be greedy when others are fearful.

which is more or less just a restatement of Benjamin Graham, who said:

Buy when most people, including experts, are pessimistic, and sell when they are actively optimistic.

Now is certainly that time for HIVE. Just read some of the posts on here to see how fearful and pessimistic the majority is. Many seem to be calling for the death of Hive itself. Following Graham's and Buffet's advice alone, now is the time to buy.

I don't know. @geneeverett thinks it could fall further. Many around Discord are calling for dropping to a dime.

Well, whatever may be may be. I'll be buying as it falls. If you believe in Hive as I do, I'd suggest the same. It may never be this low again and the possibility is always there for at least a 2x increase or more.

As always, don't buy Hive if you need the money for other things. I may believe in Hive, but I don't think going into debt for it is a good idea. But if you do have some extra money that you can afford to gamble on, don't miss this chance!

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention precious metals, which are always a good thing to buy. They probably won't make you rich like we all hope BTC will, but they will give you a nice stable store of value. And, well, who knows... silver is very very undervalued according to some, so if we do see an adjustment in the future, that could make you a lot of money.

My friends in #silvergoldstackers may not entirely agree, but I'd say right now if you have just a little extra money, put it in BTC and HIVE, but if you have a little more, also buy some silver.

By the way, if you've never followed our little community, I encourage you to follow that tag. I think most frontends will allow you to just click on it. That will show you tons of great precious metal posts, mostly coins but all kinds of stuff.

One more thing before I go. My buddies @bulliontools and @bitcoinman released a new second layer token not long ago called DUO. There are some good rewards for holding the token such as the possibility of being curated, receiving a HIVE dividend, and being able to tip people, but the token is also for a great cause. 25% of earnings will be delegated to the HOC (Hive Onboarding Committee) account to help with onboarding on Hive. HOC does really great work. They invited me to help out there, but I really have no time right now so I am just watching from the sidelines, but I love what they are doing, as should all of us because they are trying to help Hive grow and that helps all of us.

Anyway, go read the latest update on the token and consider buying at least a few to show support. I picked up a small chunk and will pick up more as I can.

I will wait for it to hit .15 and pick some more up. I think it will fall more before it is over. Not that I know much of anything about how the markets work. Its just a feeling I have.

Not been buying for the stack lately as silver is at a premium it seems. I'll wait for it to go back down. But, still grabbing coins for the collection though.

I think Hive might drop a little further, I’m thinking .15 but I’m no expert. I’d buy at .15 if I had funds.
I think silver under $30 is a steal. It’s a great thing @bitcoinman & @bulliontools are doing, I wish them great success.

Your article is fascinating. As a newcomer to this world, I observe that many are concerned about the fall of HIVE. Naturally, I have many questions, especially since I do not yet fully master the subject. However, I trust in the social aspect of HIVE and value the community beyond the rewards.

Your advice to take advantage of the low to buy and wait for the increase is very accurate. Really curious because Hive bashers seem to more motivated and active this time. That death message I also repeatedly stumbled I think for a month now. I just wonder why the doomsayers are still sticking around. What a contradiction. It appears that they could not abandon what they hate.

It's almost comical to watch the fear mongering and the panic going on in the market right now but that's just because we have a deeper perspective than people newer to crypto. I remember the agony of it all when it was new to me. I don't know if you were around for that massive drop in Steem in the fall of 2016 but it was horrendous. I think we need to focus on getting Hive on more exchanges for increased liquidity. I don't think there are any left that Americans can use to trade the token without a VPN. If this doesn't happen I'll be more concerned about the future of Hive. The SEC has made it very difficult for alts in America but I hope this stance changes with our next election. No matter what happens I'll keep writing and keep promoting this platform. I experience the value of it every day.

We're almost back to $0.19, but it will be a wild summer I agree. It's a great time to buy some Hive at a good price. A dime could happen, but it depends on how BTC performs in my mind. Thanks for your support of DUO, we appreciate it!
