I've reblogged a few posts about this over the past week, but I wanted to also write a post mentioning it.

I'm pretty confident that most of you are aware of @stickupboys. They've been on Hive for a few years now and have really made themselves a part of the network. If nothing else, you've seen and probably used some of the gifs they've created, like this one:

They are very fun and playful, making them appeal to everyone.

Anyway, stickupboys released their own token, called SUB. So beyond wanting to repay them for being a great part of Hive, why should you buy this token? I'll give you a few reasons.

1. It's has a mint size of only 50,000. I'd guess the vast majority of Hive Engine tokens have over a million tokens—many of them a billion or higher, which is just a crazy number.

   These 50k tokens represent 50% of Stickupboys' next album. That means own 1000 tokens, and you own 1% of the album. How cool is that??

2. Buying this token supports independent music. Enough said.

3. Stickupboys is going to power up everything they earn from the token sale and use it to promote their album. 50% of what the album makes will be paid out as Hive dividends. If one of the songs from the album gets picked up for a movie or TV show through one of their connections, this album profit could be quite high.

   After a few years, there will be a rebuy program put in place to repurchase every token for the exact same price they are selling now: 1 Hive. So if you are a long-term holder, you will not lose anything.

4. Stickupboys will be referring their music buddies to Hive. Needless to say, if SUB is successful, that may make Hive much more attractive for their contacts.

Now as you can see, this is more of a long-term play, and in the current bull market you might be very tempted to jump into coins that are expected to go up a lot. Even if you do that, I think putting a portion of your money aside for SUB could be a really good move.

And if nothing else, consider buying a few tokens just as a massive thank you to @stickupboys for everything they've done for Hive.
