Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.

Let’s start with my Hive goals.

Hive & HBD

My goal for this year was 35k Hive. And I made it! Now I am aiming for my stretch goal of 40k. Let’s see how close to it I can get before the end of the year!

Last week I made 636.04, bringing me to 37,844.450 total Hive Power. That’s 94.6% of my stretch goal!

Math time. 40k - 37,844.450 gives us 2155.55. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 37.2 Hive needed per day to reach 40k by that point.

Not too bad. As I posted in my HPUD post, I increased my Hive Power by nearly 2500 Hive last month. I’m a little surprised by that, but then again it’s not really that surprising when you consider I’ve been buying enough every week to power up around 50–100 everyday.

The price of HIVE is still low, but I’m starting to eye Xmas and realize I need to start buying presents… so my HIVE buying may be about to slow down. I don’t know. We’ll see how things go. But at least potientially I can reach my stretch goal this month!

In addition to my goal tokens listed above, I picked up some SWAP.GIFU last week. I had previously bought a little of it directly on the BSC chain, but now that they have a SWAP token on Hive Engine, it’s much easier to get in. I’m not a big meme person, but I trust @raymondspeaks and @stickupboys, so I’m happy to support their project. May it bring me riches.

Not good…. but not too bad, I suppose. We’ll see what happens to the price after the US election next week.

Here is a good looking coin that I came across today. Another snake! Last week I found the first from the Perth mint. Looks like now the APMEX snake coin is being released. While it doesn’t look as nice, it is still pretty cool. I love the background. Those wave patterns are called seigaiha (青海波) in Japanese are are a very classic design pattern, showing up in many many traditional places. It is said to symbolize a wish for calm and harmonious lives.
