Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.

Let’s start with my Hive goals.

Hive & HBD

My goal for this year was 35k Hive. And I made it!! Now I’m seeing how close to my stretch goal of 40k I can get. Let’s see….

Last week I bought or made (mostly bought) 552.28, bringing me to 39,084.850 total Hive Power. That’s 97.7% of my goal!

Math time. 40k - 39,084.850 gives us 915.15. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 20.8 Hive needed per day to reach 40k by that point.

Wow, I’m less than 1k away! 20.8 is now low enough that I can make it to 40k just from my post earnings, so yes!!! But I suppose I shouldn’t count my chickens before they hatch, no matter how certain it looks, so we will hold off the celebration for now.

If I make it to 40k, then at that point I think I will stop focusing on power up so much and will redirect earnings to the second layer. Speaking of which…

In addition to the standard goals above that I’ve had all year, I picked up a bit of GIFU last week. Over a million, which sounds like a lot, but is only about $50 USD. Tho if Ray’s burning strategy works with that token, maybe it will someday be worth over a million? Dreaming, I’m sure, but never know. I wrote about Gifu here.

Silver

The silver chart for last week:

Not too bad. The hit we took after the election is continuing, but the absolute euphoria that the other markets saw is cooling down, so we might see see a recovery here. Could be a good time to buy some silver (or gold) before that comes!

Some sites I notice have buffalos down to $31. That’s pretty close to spot and seems like a great deal. If you want a little more in the season, here is a good looking coin that I came across today:
