Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.

Let’s start with my Hive goals.

Hive & HBD

My current goal is 60k Hive.

Last week I made 198.52, bringing me to 45853.2 total Hive Power. That’s 76.4% of my goal!

Math time. 60k - 45853.2 gives us 14146.8. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 48.8 Hive needed per day to reach 60k by that point.

The decline continues! It was 48.3 last week. The Hive whales are still showing that they have yet to discover how amazing my posts are, so I’m still not making enough per post to read that. At best I get a little over half. Well, we continue to hope!

Speaking of declines, the price of HIVE itself is declining. While it is disheartening to see it falling… again… it does give another oppurtunity for those of us who believe in Hive long-term. If it falls under .20, I will start buying in a again!

(and honestly, with Trump slapping a tariff on everything and everyone, Wall Street and therefore crypto is likely going to continue moving in a downward direction. Ah well… sale, amirite?)

Second Layer Tokens

I really have no need to continue putting that table there. Just want to remind myself that I did reach a goal this year. May I reach some more soon!

Still no other tokens yet strike me as things to stack, so still no new goals here yet.

It’s not a goal (yet), but I did buy a lot of VOTE tokens simply because I want to start curating the political hive community (tag “politics”) using the account @poor-richard. I’m planning on buying more of the token so that my vote there will have some weight. I don’t really know if this is a buy that will make me money. I don’t know what the APR is over there. I just want to encurage good political discussion instead of the kind of mindless junk we get on, say, Twitter.

Those of you who follow me might have some idea where my politics lie, but I will be curating all sides of the political aisle as long as it is a good post that gives a good discussion. No blindly echoing talking points, no conspiracy talk, no blind attacks without proof or a source—and good source, like a academic paper or well-regarded book, not a tweet or some BS like that.

Anyway, if you post a good political discussion or point, look for Poor Richard’s upvote.

Silver

The silver chart for last week:

Looking pretty good! Are trade wars good for precious metals? Guess we’re finding out!

I was looking at the coins but nothing really jumped out at me. There is a sale on gold coins in honor or St Patty’s Day at APMEX, so head there if you have big bucks.

Snaps

By the way, one more thing before we get to the giveaway. Last night I explored Snaps on peakd for the first time. It’s Peakd’s version of inleo’s Threads or Ecency’s Waves. I was impressed at how well it works—much better than either Inleo’s or Ecency’s version.
