Just walking😊
My day is almost gone, busy with my stuff; home, work and the Internet. I'm sitting in my usual sewing corner with a hump on my back bigger than a zebu bull. A million dialogues are running through my head and my hands are automatically stitching that map of thoughts in the background. Suddenly the light becomes dim and the internal chatter fades into the feeling that I don't see a donkey at three paces and I look up to refresh. That's how it hits me in the face, the yellowish message warning that the day is about to end.
I looked at David who was hovering nearby, and with a mischievous gesture on my face I said, "Titi, shall we go for a walk? David, screaming, went running to his room and in a flurry of hands showed me his excitement for the fact. I quickly put on my shoes, took what I needed including Charas (my dog) and we went out like three crazy people to the street.
The bougainvillea entangled in the fence of the house caresses my pupil, but I don't stop my step even to take a few pictures. Walking, walking, walking is the only signal that drives my nervous system. David always has that signal in his body - hahahahahaha.
I lead them down a street that leads to the far end of town, into the most rural area of the place where we live. Surrounded by extensive meadows for cattle, a tender green pasture borders the road, and I lose sight of it looking for other details on the horizon.
Away from the hustle and bustle I give the child free reins to walk as he pleases. At this point everyone can enjoy the walk in their own way. Charas, like a good farmer, is smelling every inch of soil and leaving his trail with every step he takes. The boy is ecstatic, he walks with a smile on his face, imitates every sound he hears and only occasionally turns to look at me, as if checking that I am still there. As for me, I enjoy his happiness, his gestures, how he speeds up and slows down his pace depending on the emotion caused by every detail that enters his ears in frequencies that I can't hear.
I dedicated a stretch of the road to be quiet, observing, but as soon as I see the details of an image, my impulses are different. So without thinking too much, I take out the camera and a new experience begins. Seeing him being happy in the simplest way that exists is for me a life lesson, I do not delay in capturing the whole palette of expressions that he gives me from his well-being, which in turn is my greatest joy.

Sometimes the greatest joys surprise us in the simplest things. Seeing David's little face is a gift, it is pure joy. You can tell he is having such a good time!
