The Fight for Coffee
There were only a few days left to choose a new political leader in one of the smallest towns in the city. This town was characterized for being the best agricultural producer, with its large extensions of vegetables and the best coffee production, a coffee that was unique and delicious that was only produced there, hundreds of sacks were harvested monthly, it was also one of the biggest incomes for the inhabitants of the town. One of the candidates to be elected as leader was a dictator, since they had to do and execute what he said, he did not take into account what was established in the laws and one of the things that disturbed him the most and he did not like was how the inhabitants of the town earned money on the lands that belonged to the government.

When the time came to choose the new leader, all the people had to vote for the dictator, as he had established it. That day the town was in an uproar, people in the streets, small children running and accompanying their parents to vote for someone they did not want, out of obligation, you could see the sadness in their faces. At the end of the afternoon this dictatorial leader was the winner. Everyone became sad, discouraged and even gave up, since they were going to lose the job where they earned their daily living. Knowing that their town was under the rule of a leader who did not think of his people and did things differently, the only thing that caused them to give up was to surrender, as the inhabitants saw it, since they had never gone through anything like this. Their dreams were about to disappear.

Several weeks passed and the changes began to be noticed drastically, one of those was that they announced that the production, harvesting and sale of coffee would be prohibited until further notice. Many inhabitants left the town in desperation, the only ones who stayed were those who were going to fight until the end for their rights, in order to eliminate the laws established by that leader. One morning Antonio, a 17 year old boy, whose father was a producer, decided to confront this dictatorial leader in a different way. He put on his best clothes, grabbed a bag with some coffee beans and went to where this leader was.
When he arrived nobody wanted to listen to him, rather they ran him out of the leader's office and threw his coffee beans over his head, Antonio left very sad and disappointed, the only thing he said -I want to reach an agreement about this law they put in place-, he lowered his head and politely left. In the distance he heard his name, so he decided to return to see if he could hear his humble opinion.
Not more than two hours passed when the dictator leader, together with his work team, arrived at the land where the inhabitants were. They immediately asked for Antonio, no one wanted to answer and they did not know what was happening, they began to argue and insult him. In the end they all left without getting anywhere, the only thing they said was that they had a few hours to vacate the land.

After all that scandal, Antonio appeared, he was very worried about what had happened, he thought that everything had been his fault, for having made the decision to go and talk to the leader without telling anyone and many of his parents, now they were going to lose everything. He was disappointed in himself, but he still wanted to continue fighting to try to eliminate that law and to be able to continue with the production of coffee for the welfare of the people. He decided to go back to talk to the leader, but this time he took a sack of coffee beans to give to him personally, as a sign that they were actually using the land for a great benefit for everyone.
This time he was attended, he was able to reach an agreement and be able to eliminate that law, but the condition would be that half of all sales would be for the inhabitants and the other half for the dictator, it was the only way to continue doing what he was most passionate about. When Antonio heard this he could not believe it, since now they would have to double production, work longer hours and above all plant more coffee to be able to cover the pay, however, they would once again have the freedom to do what they liked the most, coffee production.
When he arrived with his parents and told them what he had done for the villagers, it was a gesture of generosity, humility and will, since this young man has a long way to go in his life and did not want to see his family and friends ruined by this dictatorial leader, who does not know what it means to struggle to make a living.

Antonio understood that in this life sometimes there are people who appear overnight and want to end the way of life of the people, for being a dictator leader of the people that what he seeks is a personal good and not for all the inhabitants and things should not be like that. This young man decided that he would study and prepare himself to be the next leader when he was older and support all the coffee producers and guarantee the well being of the people, all with the same rights.

Antonio showed courage in talking to the dictator, but the result, although not the best, ensured that they continued to produce coffee. Good for them.
Great story my friend
The decision that this young man made was for the good of all, despite not being the best, and sometimes you need to take the initiative. Thanks for the visit.
Hello David, as always highlighting with an excellent story, I really liked your approach to the conflict, the young man was very brave to talk to the dictator no doubt, something that distinguishes the youth owner of the future. A hug.
Thanks friend, it took me a bit to adapt to the theme, but I liked the result. Also sometimes in this life, you always have to take that first step to be able to achieve what we are most passionate about. Greetings.
Passion wins out in the end. Nice story 👌
Thank you friend, we must never give up until we achieve our dreams. Greetings.
