Saludos amigo, últimamente he estado un poco full con las clases de la universidad, específicamente con las de matemáticas, no han dejado de asignar actividades, muchos ejercicios, algunos son fáciles de resolver como otros que son un poco complicados y se necesita la ayuda de ciertas herramientas como lo es la calculadora, para así poder resolver estas operaciones y poder encontrar la solución de los problemas. En mi caso tengo con una calculadora en físico, es una calculadora científica y uso otra desde mi teléfono, pero esta no están avanzadas y no me permite hacer muchas cosas, ya que tiene lo básico, suma, resta, multiplicar y no es de gran ayuda en este momento, con esta matemática avanzada que estoy viendo en este semestre.

Esta semana nos mandaron hacer unos ejercicios que no estuvieron nada fácil y me tocó usar la tecnología y buscar una app de una calculadora para que me ayudara a resolver los ejercicios de matemáticas, fue una gran tarea, ya que no fue nada fácil hallar esta aplicación y sobre todo que explicara de una manera sencilla y eficaz para así poder entender los ejercicios de matemáticas.

Greetings friend, lately I have been a little full with college classes, specifically with mathematics, have not stopped assigning activities, many exercises, some are easy to solve as others that are a bit complicated and you need the help of certain tools such as the calculator, in order to solve these operations and to find the solution to the problems. In my case I have a physical calculator, it is a scientific calculator and I use another one from my phone, but this one is not advanced and does not allow me to do many things, since it has the basics, addition, subtraction, multiplication and it is not of great help at this time, with this advanced mathematics that I am seeing in this semester.

This week we were sent to do some exercises that were not easy and I had to use technology and look for a calculator app to help me solve the math exercises, it was a big task, since it was not easy to find this application and especially to explain in a simple and effective way in order to understand the math exercises.

Me fui a la App Store de mi teléfono, para comenzar a buscar esa calculadora que necesitaba, una vez que le di buscar salió una gran lista y yo no sabía cuál escoger, y además alguna eran pagas. Yo necesitaba en este caso una que me explicara el procedimiento a seguir y a su vez que fuera gratis, así que me toco buscar por internet para así salir de dudas, y no descargar una calculadora mala, que no cumpliera con mis expectativas o tuviera un virus. De tanto buscar y leer, ya que la necesitaba de urgencia, logre descargar una que es conocida como Photomath, una calculadora que cuenta con múltiples funciones. Lo bueno es que no pesa mucho, tenía buenas referencias y la descargue con confianza.

I went to the App Store on my phone, to start looking for that calculator I needed, once I gave search came out a big list and I did not know which one to choose, and also some were paid. I needed in this case one that explained the procedure to follow and at the same time that was free, so I had to search the internet to get out of doubt, and not download a bad calculator, that did not meet my expectations or had a virus. After so much searching and reading, since I needed it urgently, I managed to download one that is known as Photomath, a calculator that has multiple functions. The good thing is that it does not weigh much, I had good references and I downloaded it with confidence.

Una vez que todo estaba listo, me fui a la app de Photomath, para ver cómo funcionaba, lo bueno es que no se necesita crear una cuenta en dicha App, sino que de una vez ya puedes comenzar a trabajar con ella. Además, nos sale un pequeño tutorial de imágenes donde nos explica que podemos hacer, la cual es muy importante leerlos para así estar claro de lo que nos ofrece.

Once everything was ready, I went to the Photomath app, to see how it worked, the good thing is that you do not need to create an account on the app, but at once you can start working with it. In addition, we get a small tutorial of images where it explains what we can do, which is very important to read them in order to be clear of what it offers us.

Esta app cuenta con varios módulos que son importantes conocerlos, ya que con ellos serán más fácil entender y no estar perdidos con en esta aplicación. Lo primero que notamos al momento de abrirlo es como si fuera una cámara de teléfono, puesto que la aplicación nos permite fotografiar el ejercicio y ella automáticamente lo reconoce y lo transcribe en la app. Vamos a encontrar una barra blanca y allí es donde vamos a enfocar el ejercicio para luego darle en el botón rojo.

This app has several modules that are important to know, because with them it will be easier to understand and not be lost with this application. The first thing we notice when we open it is as if it were a phone camera, since the application allows us to photograph the exercise and it automatically recognizes it and transcribes it into the app. We will find a white bar and that is where we will focus on the exercise and then click on the red button.

La otra manera de hacerlo es seleccionar la galería y subir la imagen del ejercicio o también nos da la opción de escribir manualmente el ejercicio que vamos a realizar en ese momento. De las tres maneras son eficaces, ya esto dependerá de la comodidad de cada persona el que quiera escoger. Lo más importante de este primer paso es escribir el ejercicio bien, en letra legible y utilizar los signos correctamente, ya que si no dará error.

The other way to do it is to select the gallery and upload the image of the exercise or it also gives us the option to manually write the exercise that we are going to perform at that moment. All three ways are effective, but it will depend on the comfort of each person which one he/she wants to choose. The most important of this first step is to write the exercise well, in legible letter and to use the signs correctly, otherwise it will give error.

Otro módulo que me gusto y es de gran ayuda es el historial, puesto que allí se irán guardando los ejercicios que vamos resolviendo y si se necesita comprobar algo, corregir o simplemente para llevar un orden de los ejercicios lo vamos a encontrar allí y no estar como locos volviendo a escánear un ejercicio cada vez que lo necesitemos. También si se copió mal, está duplicado el ejercicio y lo podremos borrar sin ningún problema.

Another module that I liked and is of great help is the history, since the exercises that we are solving will be saved there and if we need to check something, correct or simply to keep an order of the exercises we will find it there and not be like crazy re-scanning an exercise every time we need it. Also, if the exercise was copied wrongly, the exercise is duplicated and we can delete it without any problem.

Una vez que tengamos el ejercicio con que vamos a trabajar, lo escaneamos y en cuestión de segundos ya estará listo. Una vez que la app procese esa información nos dará las posibles soluciones del problema y los pasos respectivos de cómo resolver los ejercicios. Además, si el ejercicio se puede resolver por distintos métodos, la app nos dirá, sin embargo, el ejemplo que les comparto es solo factorizar.

Seguidamente, nos vamos al ejercicio, a partir de aquí es donde la cosa se pone interesante, ya que tendremos que ir copiando los pasos del ejercicio, la cual lo da de una manera muy detalla, sencilla y ya está todo resuelto, hasta llegar al resultado final. Cabe señalar que habrá pasos del ejercicio que lo hace directo en el procedimiento, como otros que lo explica muy bien, pero lo que se quiere es el resultado del ejercicio, la cual en la app es conocido como solución.

Next, we go to the exercise, from here is where it gets interesting, since we will have to go copying the steps of the exercise, which gives it in a very detailed, simple way and everything is already solved, until you reach the final result. It should be noted that there will be steps of the exercise that makes it direct in the procedure, as others that explains it very well, but what you want is the result of the exercise, which in the app is known as solution.

Once we have the exercise we are going to work with, we scan it and in a matter of seconds it will be ready. Once the app processes that information, it will give us the possible solutions to the problem and the respective steps on how to solve the exercises. In addition, if the exercise can be solved by different methods, the app will tell us, however, the example I share with you is only factoring.

Cuando se termine de copiar y resolver el ejercido que se colocó en la aplicación, le damos cerrar y eso automáticamente nos vuelve a la cámara principal y el ejercicio quedará guardado en el historial. Así de fácil es resolver los ejercicios que uno no entienda de las clases de matemáticas. Esta es una versión gratis, por eso la cantidad de pasos son muy pocas, pero sirven para entender y resolver el problema.

When you have finished copying and solving the exercise that was placed in the application, click close and it automatically returns to the main camera and the exercise will be saved in the history. That's how easy it is to solve the exercises that one does not understand in math classes. This is a free version, so the number of steps are very few, but they are useful to understand and solve the problem.

Como estudiante digo que esta app tiene algunas ventajas y desventaja a la hora de usarla, además se necesita de internet para que su funcionamiento sea eficaz.

Las ventajas son que me permite resolver los ejercicios que no entienda. El paso a paso es muy bueno y se puede entender con facilidad de donde salen los números o las posibles soluciones. Me permite estudiar y avanzar desde mi casa y por último con tan solo un botón ya tengo todo listo.

Las desventajas de esta app, es que no la puedo usar en la universidad por el tema del internet y en un examen no puedo usar el teléfono. Probé con ejercicio y en algunos no me da el paso a paso, ya que el ejercicio es complejo y a veces a los profesores le gusta que uno copie todo el procedimiento del ejercicio y por último no se aprende nada, puesto que todo lo hace la aplicación.

As a student I say that this app has some advantages and disadvantages when it comes to use it, besides it needs internet for its operation to be effective.

The advantages are that it allows me to solve the exercises that I do not understand. The step by step is very good and you can easily understand where the numbers or possible solutions come from. It allows me to study and advance from home and finally with just one button I have everything ready.

The disadvantages of this app, is that I can not use it at the university because of the internet and in an exam I can not use the phone. I tried with exercise and some of them do not give me the step by step, because the exercise is complex and sometimes teachers like you to copy the whole procedure of the exercise and finally you do not learn anything, since everything is done by the application.

Así que amigos, esta es la primera vez que uso una app de una calculadora de matemáticas, me gusto aprender a usarla y a su vez aprovechar la tecnología mediante la app, pero en un futuro no será efectiva, ya que de que vale usarla y no aprender nada, por eso me tocará prestar más atención a las clases y así poder resolver los ejercicios sin necesidad de una app. Espero que les haya servido esta app para lo que están estudiando matemáticas.

So friends, this is the first time I use a math calculator app, I liked learning to use it and in turn take advantage of technology through the app, but in the future it will not be effective, since it is worth using it and not learn anything, so I will pay more attention to the classes and thus be able to solve the exercises without the need for an app. I hope this app has been useful for what you are studying mathematics.
