When one trying to get healthier
I know this is a less appealing thumbnail photo, but I have to start with this one. Notice there's wire fence erected by the hill side? The man has officially seal off the mountain trail. Tuck Fhe Man!
I know I can sit here and tell about how things go south when I try to diet it off and loose some weight, and they blocked off the hill.
Or, I can also think for the past decade I've been living around this region, why wouldn't I make use of the mountain track more often? We all know those are excuses.
The only person who can get me to get active is myself. I knew I can't be using the seal of tracking road as excuse anymore and start to hike the public road instead. See, wasn't so bad afterall. Best part is, I can hike even after rain!
And choose to go with a different route, need to cover more kilometers with this route. Less steep, longer route, took me an hour and 40 minutes to complete the new track. Am seriously considering to restart jogging due to time constraints
Mooncake seems to be one of the most innocent diet killer. A regular mooncake can rack up to 600 calories. One with duck egg yolk, can be 700. Be very careful of excess calories going in
We decided to make a slightly healthier dinner with air fry potato. The danger of having tasty food being, hard to put the fork down.
Home minister got a good deal of a whole salmon coupled of days ago. It was sliced and saved in our fridge, so here's a time for salmon flake on a butter toast.
Topped it off with a slice of cheddar, kids love it a lot.
And I we got the salmon steak instead and it's a precious peace of healthy fat over there. But once again, calories in, calories out. Who say salmon fat can't make us fat?

I'm not exactly sure under what circumstances they closed the hill, and as far as I know this is a natural preserved mountain by the government. By right no development allowed. However, it is also truth that reserved forest are strictly no public visits, not to mention weekend hike. It's either the government sold the mountain? Or they already sold it long time ago, now the new owner come and claim the mountain 🤣 don't laugh, it is this corrupted in this country. Pay them enough, you can own a person here!
I'm not a fan of calories counting, therefore often I failed my diet program because I overeat. The sad part being, often the good food is high calories a d lose dense food 🤣 so I gotta eat alot to feel full. If there's any drugs that is so addictive, it has to be sugar!

I am no fan of calorie counting as well, and it always changes depending on many factors, and for women, the hormonal cycle plays a major part. One day you are okay with a stick of carrot and grass, and the next, you are so hungry to death that you gobbled up a plateful of fried chicken. There's no winning the war.
I have addictions 🤣 it was smoking, and now food. I'm on a mission searching for low calories dense food, so I can eat more volume to prevent me from eating high calories food.
Have you tried the keto diet? Seems to be the buzzword these days.
Did Atkins diet(original version before keto become a thing) years ago and probably the wrong way, and caused some damage to the body. Can't do that anymore or will become chronic disease 🙂 will just have to eat a small deficit and enjoy the macros
Yup. I also can't do keto due to its strong emphasis on consuming more fattening stuff. It worked for many people but I guess not for me.

I forget where I once read it, but there were some statistics that showed caffeine, sugar, and salt are more addictive than nicotine and heroin. If there is any dish with potatoes in it, my Irish ancestral DNA ignites and I must eat potatoes until there are no more potatoes left 🔥🥔🍀🧔.
Salt was sal, originally a Greek word. It's a common spice used as ancient currency. Guess where "salary" came from? So, salary is very addictive, just like salt.
Sugar is something started by the merican 🤣 it's a huge unsecreted propaganda back in the 1900s. All sickness started from people started uses excessive of sugar. Especially when the health era commence, fat being taken out from food, and then food factory started injected tons of sugar into the unfatted food so they still taste as good. Addiction, may not be that bad. But the temptation, is trillion times than to tobacco. Imagine, I stop smoking, my kid doesn't smoke Infront of me, means no problem.
If I quit sugar, imagine this, can I stop my kid from eating ice cream? 🤣🤣🤣
I didn't know salary and salt were related, but I'm familiar with sal from from other Euro languages. What's worse than refined sugar is what we use in the USA, high fructose corn syrup, full of calories and cheaper than sugar, but our brains don't even process that we've consumed calories when we eat or drink this stuff.
Totally unrelated but related, river and rival are related, your enemy used to be located on the opposite side of the river, a natural border. After you vanquish your enemies on the other side of the river, it's time to "salt" their fields and collect your salary.
I'm not sure if my ancestor has anything to deal with Irish, but I can't have potato chips at home or I will eat until no potato chips left 🤣

I haven't tried Lay's, it's imported, and I understand the sadness you mentioned. Trust me, it's different here 🤪 even plain flavor can cheer you up. I have a ton of hot and spicy flavor, wasabi flavor, BBQ flavor, and also love the tomato and tomyam flavor most 🤣
I too eat plain flavor if nothing else is available, better than no chips at all.
That's a shame about your mountain. I guess corruption touches so many parts of our lives. As for calorie counting, well... that should be illegal 😀
Calories counting seems to be the last resort in my book. I've done a lot of work, but eating the wrong stuff can undo all the hard work in 1 meal 🤣 I think the angry Canadian coach had got into my subconscious mind. Everytime I picked up the chocolate bar, the angry man appear in my head 🤣
