Today I would like to join the Behind The Photo Contest. Today I share with you my visit to the wood. Simple wood? Not, a winter wood that is located near my city, in Pasquilio and Canalacci locality. I went there 2 weeks ago about, I left the scooter along the road and started a short path.

Like every time, I didn't start with the specific idea of ​​creating a service but I learned that most of the time the result is this. I looked around me and stopped, pulling out my smartphone. I have not found exciting photos but I wanted to portray the environment around me in a few simple shots.

In this case, I wanted to describe with my photos a grove in the middle of winter, when the wind made all the leaves fall and the new sprouts have not yet been born.

Leaves, leaves and other leaves on the ground, all deprived of the typical autumn colors due to the weather and cold. this was the typical winter landscape that you can find here, where the low altitude rarely allows snow to take root. I also found some remnants of the past season, some hedgehogs and some chestnuts hidden among the landings formed in the woods.

Once I got home I made a selection of the best photos. I took more than one photo for the same subject, I chose the best one and I took the final selection once these 2 weeks had passed. I opened every image on my paint.net platform and I resized, retouched the colors, changed the shades, inserted a bit of liveliness or contrasts, sometimes increasing lights and shadows and, why not, vignetting. The result? The photos I showed you throughout this article.
