♥ I DRAWED AND ANIMATED ♥

¡Hola a todos! Hace poco una persona de twitter contrató mis servicios como ilustrador y animador 2D, dicha persona quería una intro animada para empezar a promocionarse como Streaming de Axie en las redes sociales.

Hello everyone! Recently a person on twitter hired my services as an illustrator and 2D animator, said person wanted an animated intro to start promoting himself as Axie Streaming on social networks.

Me contó su idea y me pasó esta referencia. Me contó que quería que este Axie montara a caballo mientras iba por el caliente desierto.

He told me his idea and passed me this reference. He told me that he wanted this Axie to ride a horse while riding through the hot desert.

Inmediantamente muchas ideas vinieron a mi cabeza inquieta, así que decidí plasmarla en varios bocetos. Al final, terminamos eligiendo las ideas que verás en el siguiente StoryBoard.

Immediately many ideas came to my restless head, so I decided to capture it in several sketches. In the end, we ended up choosing the ideas you will see in the following StoryBoard.

Aquí le mostré al cliente, cuales serían las escenas y secuencias. En este caso, planteé a su personaje como un Axie Carísmatico y de gran presencia como un buen vaquero en el desierto. Quedó maravillado.

Here I showed the client what the scenes and sequences would be. In this case, I posed his character as a charismatic Axie with great presence as a good cowboy in the desert. He was amazed.

La siguiente etapa fue llevar el Storyboard a un lineart más pulido, el cual podría pintar más adelante para jugar con los colores y las texturas. En este encuadre quería que resaltara el axie del medio, por lo cual los jinetes de los laterales no tendrían mucho detalle y estarían a oscuras.

The next stage was to take the Storyboard to a more polished lineart, which I could paint later to play with colors and textures. In this frame I wanted the axie in the middle to stand out, so the riders on the sides would not have much detail and would be in the dark.

Comencé posicionando algunos colores cálidos: el amarillo iba abarcar en toda la ilustración, pero con diferentes tonos. La escena que planteé fue a las 12 PM, justo cuando el sol está en lo más alto, con algunas nubes. Eso haría que todo estuviese más caliente.

I started by positioning some warm colors: yellow was going to cover the whole illustration, but with different tones. The scene I posed was at 12 PM, just when the sun is at its highest, with some clouds. That would make everything warmer.

Hasta este punto estaba logrando lo que quería: destacar al axie de al frente. Los jinetes solo serían un complemento para esta pieza. Como había muchos elementos cálidos, decidí meter más adelante unos cactus que harían armonía con esta composición.

Up to this point I was getting what I wanted: to highlight the axie in front. The riders would only be a complement to this piece. Since there were a lot of warm elements, I decided to add some cacti that would harmonize with this composition.

ILLUSTRATION FINISHED!

DURATION: 10 hours.
PROGRAM: Adobe Photoshop.
I used a graphic tablet: Kamvas 20"

Finalmente le agregué algunas texturas de ruido, rayos de sol, filtros morados y así ir embelleciendo la paleta de color. Me gustó mucho el resultado. Espero que en el futuro sigan llegando trabajos como estos, pues me complace seguir realizándolos.

Finally I added some noise textures, sun rays, purple filters and so on to embellish the color palette. I really liked the result. I hope that in the future works like these will keep coming, because I am pleased to continue doing them.
