Hello December
So yeah, it's December huh.
Permit me to say welcome to the month of December. Yeah, I know it's the second day of the month already. Nevertheless, welcome to December - chuckles.

Alright, we are in the new month. A month as this comes with a lot of reflections, contemplations, and famously resolutions. People begin to peep into the new year already; many trying to analyse it like a forex trader or so, and some counting the odds like a risk taker in a casino, of a better or worse year ahead. Actually, in many ways you cannot blame anyone for thinking or acting in such way. Many have gone through a lot and seen much enough that it will be best to foresee the next year and figure out how to confront it. I think this is one of the plight of the living. So like many, I find myself also projecting the next year, and of course I hope for the best too.
Yet, I figure that amidst the foreseeing into the next year; the analysis, the projections and all, our reflections and contemplations can only result to two outcomes from our minds. And what are these supposed outcomes I am talking about? One, complaint and two, gratitude. Don't get it wrong, the numbering was not unintentionally. Why?
Okay, I have to discover that many times at this point of the year, many persons tend to have a high level of complaint to gratitude over the year that is now running out. And trust me, I know how things are hard and tough these days; you might have been frustrated by one governmental policy or the other, one business that did not work out, one health challenge, or maybe your wedding you hoped did not work out…well. Still, complaining will not solve the issue. This is due to the fact whatever hurt or pain or failure we tend to feel for whatever the reason(s), they only tend to impede our joy and nothing should do that to us.

From my own side of the world, there's this statement we utter, mostly in a jovial way but then it means a lot to our psyche. It goes like, "we go again". And I tell you we do really go again; harder.
So then, this have I learnt, that despite the reasons to complain, gratitude is and should be the best option. So I have learnt to reminisce on the good things I have achieved and try to shift attention from that I could not (not necessarily throwing them away). This is because they tend to create the joy that I was able to still make an advancement amidst all that came through. I think one reason we do not even find gratitude on our minds is because we have failed to recognize what we have done, how we have survived, how we persevered...and so we do not give any kudos to ourselves. I believe our reflections and contemplations should point us towards gratitude and not complaints.

Well, it's still the second day of December and I believe there's still more to catch up with the remaining twenty-nine days.
