Victoria Glacier over Lake Louise

DSC06441.jpeg

A close up shot of the Victoria glacier, located above the ever popular Lake Louise. This is the view tourists travel thousands of kilometres to see. It really does look surreal don’t you think? Only thing better than this view is to be there in person looking at this view. Really amazing actually. This is why Lake Louise is one of the most visited destinations in all of Canada. This is why I have personally visited more than twenty times myself. Call me crazy I guess. A photographers dream location. Imagine if the skies were blue instead of overcast. This is why I will need to visit again someday and hope for clear skies. Now it’s time to begin the walk around the shoreline trail to the far side. Over yonder is where the trailhead begins for the Plain of six glaciers hike.

The photography of the lake is very beautiful, I really like seeing the turquoise water of the lake, plus the view of the mountains with ice at the top, it's really a spectacular view

The first thing I thought of while shooting this shot was the I be Da Veks would have probably stood in these footprints and shot a superior shot already. Then, I thought of how many people are bound by capturing the same perspective. Then, I found myself worried for how small the glacier is even when compared to recent years!

Dream locations we share.

Amazing pictures! The only time I've really seen glaciers was in southern Chile. Then again I've not spent much time in Canada!

What a gorgeous spot with the lake in the foreground and the glacier off in the distance. Beautiful!
