Upper Sunwapta Falls
This is Athabasca Falls little brother, and it’s name is Sunwapta Falls, upper falls that is. Such a great viewpoint from up here, looking down on the falls. The Athabasca river winds its way through the tall curvy canyon walls, and then on to the lower falls and beyond. The upper falls experience can be captured in about 10-15 minutes. Quick and sweet. The lower falls adventure requires a longer timeframe. To properly do it, one should set aside about 90 minutes or so.

You dear friend @daveks as always presenting the best, now, the little brother of Athabasca Falls, whose name is Sunwapta Falls, meaning upper falls and the great Athabasca River meandering through the high winding canyon walls, and then into the lower falls and much beyond, what a good view, extraordinary photographs for a pleasant and great visit, as you always accustom us to glimpse. I wish you success and as always grateful for your constant visits to my publications. Greetings from Venezuela.
Such masses of water. I suppose that it rumbles like a thunder.
Yeah, it does get loud, the closer you are to the falls.
@daveks Friend, your photographs remind me the NatGeo magazines that I bought when I was a child and teenager, when the internet was not yet part of our daily lives... The feeling of enchantment and amazement when seeing those landscapes that you photograph is the same... Thank you so much!...
You are so kind. Thanks for the compliments. I love those NatGeo mags.
