Turquoise Beach

DSC06506.jpeg

Come, let’s go to the Turquoise beach! Well it is not exactly a place you wanna go swimming, but it sure looks pretty. Cold Turquoise beach would be a better title, as the water is glacial ice cold sort of stuff. In fact the glacial ice melt plays a part in making the colour appear turquoise. Specifically it is the glacial rock powder mixed in with water, add in some sunlight reflecting off the water and Walla, you have this turquoise colour. Cool eh? I will be including the black & whites as usual, but obviously they pale in comparison to the coloured ones.

Can I skate on that, too? Does it look turquoise in winter? Should I just move to Banff??

No, not in winter. But that would be cool if it was, and yes move to Banff!

The place is truly extraordinary, with the greenness of the water making many people want to feel the cold.
Is the water clean, like it can be drunk directly?

You would still want to use a water filter. Thanks for looking.

The glacial rock is green, it's no wonder that the Beach is turquoise, but it's enchanting all the same and very eye-catching.
