Trail Gems
Mountain views and Landscapes are not the only highlights of a hiking excursion. Along the trail one can find many different gems, if you look carefully. I am always scanning the surroundings as I walk, looking for “gems” that catch my eye. Often times, those gems include flowers, berries or small wildlife. It’s the colours that usually attract me; or the sounds of squirrels, birds, and anything else that moves in the forest. Anyway you slice it, heading out into the wild is always a special treat. Photos taken along the trail by Silver Springs Lakes, East Kootenay, British Columbia.

I agree with you friend. In the wild there are many things that we can enjoy, one of which is the frog in your picture. We can hardly find this miracle in urban areas.
Sometimes you have to exit the cities, in order to experience what nature has to offer. Thanks.
Camera result ain't bad
Cheers.
Very nice photography result. I love looking at the leaves.
Glad you liked the leaves!
❤️🤝
I totally agree with your words, many gems are in front of us when we go on a walk, if we are careful we can capture more of these gems my friend 👍
You get it right, so many gems all around. We just need to look for them!
You truly have an eye for the extraordinary. I was looking at the subject separation of the first picture, and it looks a shot taken with a DSLR, amazing colors as well.
It did take a few attempts to get it in focus. Thanks to the amazing Leica lens built in.
That's great, sometimes it's difficult to get that perfect focus
Those are really cool! That frog is hard to see, evolution has granted it some nice camouflage. Great pictures of the berries, although I suspect those are probably all toxic to humans! lol I like the picture of the monolithic rock you found, very cool pictures especially in monochrome!
I'll have to do a deep dive sometime on wild berries and the like. Would be helpful to know if I could eat them in a pinch or not! Thanks for the comment.
Very interesting alternative shots @daveks friend!
