the Lookout Point

This is it! The coveted “Lookout Point”. I finally made it. But the last stretch of this hike was actually quite steep and awkward. Before getting to this point, I did ponder giving up and just returning back down. Thank goodness I had trekking poles with, I don’t think I could have made it without them. I’m sure glad I soldiered through though. The view from this point was really really nice. That rock edge is a popular selfie destination, I suppose it would be a great spot for it, but I’m not much of the selfie type, plus a little too close to the edge for my liking. I like hiking up to higher elevations, but getting too close to edges and cliffs is not for me. I only like to take calculated risks.

The look out point is just amazing in the picture. So while visualizing it very close, I can imagine the feel you experience. Its better to avoid selfies at peak points. Always risky. The same advice I keep giving to my son, who also visits like these place here in our state.

No need to take chances like that, at least for me.

My partner did crazy stuff like that, before the days of mobile selfies. I began refusing to take his picture.

Were there really no madmen who would want to stand on the edge of a cliff? ;)

What a view! That looks like it was a bit of a steep hike getting up there but worth it... I'm glad you didn't get too close to the edge with so many people falling off cliffs while taking pictures these days. I love both the color and B&W here, the colors are gorgeous but the B&W picks up what I imagine is a little smoke and makes it look more mysterious. Very cool!

Thanks my friend, this is one where the black and whites look as good as the colours, agreed.

I'm short of words, this is really it, such awesomeness, such tranquil sights, all from the edge of that Cliff. You made it happen because you were insistent and now it has paid off. Beautiful scenery.

Wow!!! Amazing view in a wonderful place! I would say that in the place where you took these photographs, pollution does not exist.

Wowsers! this is a VIEW mate. Well worth the effort. Not sure I'd be too close to the edge either. Me and edge heights errrr nope. Superb though. Makes me wish I was headed north in India to the Himalayas now
