the Journey Continues
The journey continues along the hiking trail from the paint pots. Feels like I’m walking on Mars, either that or someone spilled a lot of jello around here. Makes you wonder if there is much wildlife out and about here. Come to think of it, other than a bird or two, I did not encounter any other animals. Instinctually, wildlife probably stays clear of this area, but I’m just guessing. I did encounter a pair of hikers and their dog on the way back, fewer hikers is always better in my book. Photos taken inside Kootenay National Park, British Columbia. (I told you I like to take a lot of pictures!)

Why would animals stay clear of this area? It is a waterhole with a clear line of site.
Do you hike this park often. It would be interesting to see if and when wild life comes to the area. Maybe it was just a hot period of the day. 🤔
First time for me. In fact is was quite hot that day actually. I suppose the morning hours may see more wildlife activity. Maybe next time will make a point of going in the morning..
