Tea Hut at Plain of Six Glaciers

IMG_20230704_162251_Original.jpeg

Here it is, the tea hut “reward” waiting for you at the top of the Plain of Six Glaciers hike. A popular place to sit down, relax, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and snack after completing your ascent. Apparently the fine folks that operate the hut, bring up all the supplies by backpack, and stay up here for days at a time. Thanks for your dedication! The hike up here takes around two, two and a half hours or so to complete. Of course depending on your level of fitness. Don’t forget trekking poles when hiking, trust me. You will thank me later! Photos taken around the tea hut area, 600 metres or so in elevation gain, above Lake Louise, Banff Park, Alberta.

Thanks for the mountain tour walk. What flavors of coffee and tea do they supply at the cafe?

Didn't take a close look at the menu actually. It was about $15 for a tea and small piece of cake though.

I think I'll just go to my local grocery store until my tea plants start producing. 😁

Hiking up the mountain for a cup of tea! Wow what a neat way to enjoy God's country!

Awesome, always a good feeling to get to the top of your destination, then after the good times, having to trek back down gets less exciting because you know its coming to an end. Good thing for photography, you can see stuff you didn't see going up, its like a different view.

In my case, I usually never look at the pics until I’m ready to post here on Hive, added excitement. Just wait till I roll out the higher quality dslr pics maybe in 3 or 4 months..

Wow, each and every one of the photos is fantastic, but the ones in black and white where those banners appear reminded me of the photos of places in Tibet (where they put fabric banners in certain places)... That one has undoubtedly to be a fantastic place to have a tea!!! Thank you very much for this walk today @daveks friend!... Wishing you a great weekend!

What meaning do the flags have?

I agree with the hiking poles, they are very helpful (when the knees are not in perfect shape).
