Sunwapta (Turbulent Water)

A few more captures from the lower falls here at Sunwapta. Sunwapta is a word taken from the Stoney language, and means “turbulent water”. Very appropriate in my opinion. Probably the best time to view the falls would likely be in and around the May/June timeframe, that is when the Spring melt is in full force. The canyon wall colours are quite pretty in their own natural way, nature’s paint brush does an outstanding job, what do you think? These photos were taken mid-July, 2022.
